- Welcome to the Great Yarn Stash Taming of 2025!
I dove headfirst into my bins, bags, and forgotten corners, uncovering old projects I completely forgot about, yarns I swore I didn’t have, and a whole lot of fiber.
Spoiler alert: Things definitely didn’t go as planned-but isn’t that just part of the creative process?

Great video! The editing was nice and I'm excited to see what you make with what you kept :-)
Thanks so much! 😊
ooo merino wool is nice.
don't even get me started on my projects. I've got 2 Christmas projects, one is a mosaic crochet blanket that just needs the edges done, one is a reindeer children's jumper that just had the body done. I've got a knitted children's dress that has hearts and bunny rabbits on it and I'm halfway through that (but that one was a bit difficult). I'm crocheting a Cthulhu toy. Am also knitting a dress for my daughter that's just plain maroon.
the Amsterdam yarn 7:58 is so beautiful. reminds me of a peacock colours.
"we're guessing" I do that when I take the labels off the yarn thinking I know what this is and later like months later I still have it and am like wtf is this again hahaha
11.45 hahahahaha omg did you not know that was there? its a beautiful colour. you have such lovely yarn.
In regards to donating yarns, in my country there are charity places that knit blankets for the homeless. not sure if you have something like that where you are.?
as for how do you organise/ store your yarn hahaha don't say you're doing it wrong because I swear we have our own weird ways of doing it. I have a 2 by 3 cubed bookcase with yarns in it, on top of that there is a former picnic basket that is now filled with mill ends. I have 3 medium sealable clear bags under my desk and 1 massive shopping bag (also sealable) under there too. I have a 3 drawer cupboard with yarn in it and on top of that a plastic drawer container with all my brown yarn in it and then on top of that a crate with yarn I am currently using in it and then a package i received recently that I only opened the top to check it all arrived and that will be my Giant Gyarados that I will be working on after I finish Cthulhu......I have too much stuff and outside of a few things I haven't organised it at all its kinda there hahaha.
I enjoyed your video and look forward to watching more :)
oh and I forgot to say I heard some people suggest that you should keep yarn in a sealable container or bag to reduce the risk of insects making homes in it or dust getting onto it. Not sure if that is a thing or not but I guess it depends on how long you think it will be sitting around for. I tend not to cover too much like most of it is but a lot isnt because I use it quick enough that its not gonna get nested into by things.
Oh I bet the Cthulhu toy will be adorable! I made a tiny one years ago when I first learned how to knit.
I'll have to look into if we have something similar about the knit blankets. i know of a couple charities that take finished items, like our local children's hospital accepts preemie and newborn knit hats.
@@TangledTogether if you want to have a look at what its gonna look like the pattern is by Crafty Intentions. Its a bit complex for me but its still good.
awww preemie donations that sounds cute. I guess its hard when its just getting the yarn donated. hopefully you find something nice to do with it. :)
