Ya Ning trained so hard to hone her skills and talents to the point where she was even well known among the c-trainees but all because the producers forced her to say something mean to Yujin, all that went down the drain as people started cancelling her left and right and calling her names and discrediting her talents and pretty much making sure that she would never have a career or at least a peaceful career in S. Korea. She even revealed that they producers apparently gave her OPTIONS, yes she had OPTIONS and the "but you don't" one was the least harsh among them like-

The Stray Kids show traumatized me because seeing Felix and especially Minho crying was unbearable... idk if it was scripted or not but I still can't watch it.
I knew the whole elimination situation was hella fake, but I'm not sure that the kids knew too, their crying was too convincing. My thoughts are that the agency planned this but didn't tell them, so that their reactions will be more raw.
I still cry watching it these days. I don’t think the kids were made aware of it, but it still was staged. On the other hand the company eliminated most trainees of this big whole ass group to end up with the 9 final members so I guess there was somehow a consent on debuting them together.

But it was even worse to watch when he apologized with a meek gentle smile that he had let everyone down and could not pass. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!

I think he definitely discussed the lineup with JYPE during the show and knew, maybe not at the moment of eliminarion, but I'am sure that when JYP brought them back in, Chan had already known about it. Like... Chan wasn't even surprised back then, he seemed just glad and kinda relieved. As if something really hard and unpleasant was finally over. And someone said at that moment, either Han or Changbin "why didn't you tell us"? I think they meant Chan and the producers.
@@paladiana-maria8610 I have a strong feeling that people saying stuff like “boys knew, especially Chan since he’s a leader” - totally didn’t witnessed the reality show in real time in 2017. even If elimination was staged by the company, I’m pretty much sure boys didn’t know, cause you can’t stage such pain and boys to this day always talk about how hard of a time they had during eliminations and how lost they were. felix said he came back to the dorm thinking it was over for him. minho almost never cries and the fact that he did it there makes me realise how truly painful it was for him. all of us cried, we signed petitions and made a lot of hashtags to ask company to give them second chance, I personally thought that and fans love for the members was the reason why they gave it to them.

Produce programs are extremely manipulated. Starship paid for Wonyoung's 1st place and everyone knows. There was no way she could have beaten Sakura and been in 1st place. It was impossible... But, the producers wouldn't let a Japanese be the center. P.S: and it worked out right... she became the center of the group and today she is one of the most well-known idols of the 4th generation. And let's face it, she pretty much pays the company bills... I mean her group.

The voice one didn't shock me, because NCT's Taeyong ale has been through something like that. Company wanted him to have more of lower tone. The Somi one was really shocking tho as it was her own initiative.
The stray kids one is actually pretty hurtful considering how personal that survival show was compared to the bigger ones. This was a group likely told they're on the debut team for months prior, but that this was their final passing test to actually debut and/or in a worst case scenario a surprise final test (after they already had recorded hellevator). Not only that, they basically utilized personal doubts to basically make them fear more to motivate vs actual productive criticism. You can see Felix's confidence in Korean basically be nonexistent for quite a while after their debut (more so than normal for foreign idols) and there's argument to be made that LeeKnow "stepped back" in a sense and then worried for the backlash for being so "cold". I don't doubt they both grew from the experience and that the group gained trust in each other "against" the producers which helped later in face of any drama, but at the same time it wasn't exactly successful in making people think it was real. LeeKnow being dropped was kind of a "don't know why you would drop the veteran dancer, but I guess okay", but Felix being dropped was kind of a "there's so few actual basses in Korea??? let alone idol beauty types????" sort of a moment that it made it clear it was for marketing. It did well for the group long term perhaps, but it was definitely a high risk high reward sort of situation. LeeKnow could've easily left to become a trainee elsewhere considering his experience and Felix could've easily also never bloomed with such a confidence hit at that age/also left considering again a true bass is so hard to find. This of course isn't including the damage to the other members (though I guess it was good practice for when Woojin left).
I never understood the argument of Felix not speaking Korean well. Like you casted him literally 6 months ago, you know his capabilities. They deeply traumatized a kid for views and made him the butt of a joke in a nation he tries to enter. Never okay with it.

i dont think cha eunwoo having to change his voice on camera is a big deal, i think even rm from bts revealed he trys to speak in a higher voice so the camera came pick up his voice more clearly, maybe eunwoo does it for the same reason so his voice is clearer on camera, just think of it as his customer service voice

The idol school scandal was also very controversial . . . . it was reported by a former contestant that 8 out the 9 currents fromis_9 members had signed their contracts before shooting even began.
I hate how they staged Felix and Lee Know leaving Stray Kids. That is not ok in no shape or form and was probably really traumatizing for all of the members. Felix got revenge by being the most popular member when they debuted lol.
Mnet also didnt air the part where somin being a irresponsible brat, they include it in the upcoming clip, but not in the actual airing clip. They air another contestant instead. I am surprised no one saw it and never discuss it.
Ok but what if Yaning could’ve went on to become a Kep1er memeber and that fake tension ruined her chances. That’s the problem with fake fights and shitty editing these are survival shows where voting is a factor purposely tainting a specific members reputation can cause irreparable damage to their potential careers. they evil-edited Yaning, Zing Qiao, Cai Bing, & Ruiqi coz all of them were threats to their Korean favorites, they only need one Chinese member and that was Xiaoting. And if you think Xiaoting wasn't evil edited then you're wrong, they made her a lousy dancer during their "How You Like That" performance where she was the center. They made Xiaoting feel that she was not enough for a main dancer & center position. MNET also used Yurina for the XiaoRina clout and then throw her off the bus by changing the rules in the final voting. It was pretty obvious coz if they won't change the rules, then there is a possibility that 4 or 5 Chinese members and 3 Japanese members will make the cut, and either Xiaoting or Yurina will become the center

Even if JYP has done for more viewers attention in Stray Kids survival show, then its obvious that boys didn't know about the staged program. If some think that Skz members also know about it before, then hell yeah Skz deserves an Award of acting from rookie time. Because when I watched the show I never felt anywhere that all the boys are acting, still today I watched it repeatedly again still I found their reactions in elimination time are emotional and genuine.
Bro SM also made Taeyong use a lower tone while talking and recording even though Taeyong had a lighter and breathier tone. Taeyong talked about it himself and said how the trainers ordered him to use lower tone and huskier pitch and how he had to practice talking like that for so long. U can notice it in the first few years of NCT's recordings and shows. I'm glad that he now has liberty to use his own voice and pitch and that's also evident in the recordings

What happened to the Stray Kids survival (which I watched during that time) is happening now with HYBE's The Howling. It feels fake and too scripted, giving the members anxiety.
No hate at all, I didn't watch The Howling I only saw some parts when a streamer reacted and tbh its nowhere near the skz survival show. I don't blame the participants but skz show was based on making a song, performance, battles and also interactive content (if u take out the traumatizing parts) but with the moderner shows it feels like they put the members on a forced interaction to make weird things that the show gets more attention... to me it's just boys with dreams and prolly also good talents (which weren't promoted enough in the show from what I saw) auditioning but the show is not what they expected and they get anxious bcz it's not what they prepared for. Idk it's just the directors and editors making the interactions extremely awkward. And yeah as u said it comes of as scripted and it's not even funny like who had the idea to make a boy uncomfortable by making him meow like a cat which doesn't sound nowhere near like a cat just for the sake of going viral???
i'm very sure that the skz show was scripted at least to a certain degree and they were never planning on actually eliminating minho and felix, but i do believe that the members weren't aware of that at the time. Their reactions just feel too sad and actually shocked to me. but then again we can never really know what these companies are doing

The yujin and the other girl wasn’t staged. Just because someone tells you to say something doesn’t it’s staged. If something it’s staged it means everyone is part of it and yujin and the other contestants weren’t. The girl said what what she said even if producers told her to say it.

Voice change is really common in Kpop. It's kinda way to attract the fans. Rm, rose and so many more artist have to go through it

I hate how they staged Felix and Lee Know leaving Stray Kids. That is not ok in no shape or form and was probably really traumatizing for all of the members. Felix got revenge by being the most popular member when they debuted lol.

That’s the problem with fake fights and shitty editing these are survival shows where voting is a factor purposely tainting a specific members reputation can cause irreparable damage to their potential careers.

Yaning was never meant to end up in the final line up. They only got one Chinese girl and this speaks volumes about the show
they evil-edited Yaning, Zing Qiao, Cai Bing, & Ruiqi coz all of them were threats to their Korean favorites, they only need one Chinese member and that was Xiaoting. And if you think Xiaoting wasn't evil edited then you're wrong, they made her a lousy dancer during their "How You Like That" performance where she was the center. They made Xiaoting feel that she was not enough for a main dancer & center position. MNET also used Yurina for the XiaoRina clout and then throw her off the bus by changing the rules in the final voting. It was pretty obvious coz if they won't change the rules, then there is a possibility that 4 or 5 Chinese members and 3 Japanese members will make the cut, and either Xiaoting or Yurina will become the center

Even if JYP has done for more viewers attention in Stray Kids survival show, then its obvious that boys didn't know about the staged program. If some think that Skz members also know about it before, then hell yeah Skz deserves an Award of acting from rookie time. Because when I watched the show I never felt anywhere that all the boys are acting, still today I watched it repeatedly again still I found their reactions in elimination time are emotional and genuine.
Bro SM also made Taeyong use a lower tone while talking and recording even though Taeyong had a lighter and breathier tone. Taeyong talked about it himself and said how the trainers ordered him to use lower tone and huskier pitch and how he had to practice talking like that for so long. U can notice it in the first few years of NCT's recordings and shows. I'm glad that he now has liberty to use his own voice and pitch and that's also evident in the recordings

What happened to the Stray Kids survival (which I watched during that time) is happening now with HYBE's The Howling. It feels fake and too scripted, giving the members anxiety.
No hate at all, I didn't watch The Howling I only saw some parts when a streamer reacted and tbh its nowhere near the skz survival show. I don't blame the participants but skz show was based on making a song, performance, battles and also interactive content (if u take out the traumatizing parts) but with the moderner shows it feels like they put the members on a forced interaction to make weird things that the show gets more attention... to me it's just boys with dreams and prolly also good talents (which weren't promoted enough in the show from what I saw) auditioning but the show is not what they expected and they get anxious bcz it's not what they prepared for. Idk it's just the directors and editors making the interactions extremely awkward. And yeah as u said it comes of as scripted and it's not even funny like who had the idea to make a boy uncomfortable by making him meow like a cat which doesn't sound nowhere near like a cat just for the sake of going viral???

The yujin and the other girl wasn’t staged. Just because someone tells you to say something doesn’t it’s staged. If something it’s staged it means everyone is part of it and yujin and the other contestants weren’t. The girl said what what she said even if producers told her to say it.
I think they were Yaning explained that she was pressed on stage by even the masters of the show. So Yujin did know what was coming and reacted apart.
Yujin and Yaning were literally friends. There was no tension between them. It was all evil editing
That's a pointless argument, you could cut *any* conversation to make someone look awful. It was planned = it was staged, never mind all the editing to make it suit what they wanted.
