      Thank you! I've added CNC Heads since that video and it actually sounds even better now. It has Kooks 1 7/8" Headers & a Kooks Y Pipe w/ gutted cats. From the Y Pipe back, I'm still using the factory stainless 3.5" pipe into a Magnaflow Muffler (#12909) & SLP Dual 3.5" Tips W/ the Resonator removed. It sounds like it does mostly because of the aggressive cam which is a BTR Stage 3 PDS Cam along with the ported blower and huge custom 5" intake. The idle took a long time to dial in with HP Tuners.

      I guess that depends on your definition of "everything"... I did all of the work myself so I probably have maybe $30k-$40k total including the cost of the truck. That also includes $3k or so in wheels & tires as well as several transmission rebuilds and transfer case, front & rear diff along with suspension and brakes.

      Lots of mods, what's your definition of stock drive train? I'm running a Circle D torque converter, built 6L80, Steel driveshafts (3.5" rear, 3" front), rebuilt 10 bolt rear with Truetrac & original ping/pinion and rebuilt BW4485 transfer case. Stock axels too...

      @@BLWN402 well you pretty much answered my question completely lol. One question I do have is how do you deal with the computer limited rev when spinning? I know mud is a bit different than snow/ice but there’s a similar slip and slide. Mine is pretty much bone stock outside of an exhaust and speed limiter delete.

    • @BLWN402
      @BLWN402  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@forer_2-766 Not sure what you mean by computer limited rev limit... The only rpm limits in the ECU are in the gears or Park/Neutral. What you are talking about sounds like traction control and/or stabilitrak pulling timing out to stop wheel spin. If that's what you're referring to, I run my truck with the ABS fuse pulled. No ABS and no traction control or stabilitrak bothering me. I've never had an issue driving in the snow or dirt, quality tire makes a big difference.

    I don't know much about gm, but why bother putting the denali title on? I've seen this quite a lot, is it just bragging or does that actually change anything (besides trim)?

    • @BLWN402
      @BLWN402  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a terrible question... In my opinion, the Denali is for people that want luxury but don't want to be seen driving an Escalade. They are built on the same platform and share a lot of the same features. The GMC brand in general has much nicer interiors and more features in "base" models compared to the GM counterparts like the Silverado vs Sierra. Sierra you get more for your money in each trim level. The Denali trim level is generally the highest spec and again, is for people that want all the same features but don't want a Cadillac.

      67RS427 Twin Turbo I am think about getting one what have you put on it

    • @BLWN402
      @BLWN402  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@daviddominique6287 I started with the stock 6.2L engine and threw on a LSA (CTSv/ZL1) blower and ran it on the stock bottom end for awhile... It had 155k miles so the engine was worn a bit. Pulled the aluminum block 6.2L and put in an iron 6L block and stroked it. 402 cubic inches, forged rotating assembly (Lunati Crank/Rods & Weisco Pistons). Brian Tooley Racing Stage 3 blower cam and I heavily hand ported the blower and reinforced the ZL1 intercooler lid. Running a 2.5" Griptech upper pulley and an ATI 10% overdrive lower, good for 15psi. Full kooks headers and Y pipe with gutted cats. Custom everything, including a full 5" intake. It's an animal to say the least...

    • @daviddominique6287
      @daviddominique6287 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      67RS427 Twin Turbo what would you estimated the cost to have been on just modifications

    • @BLWN402
      @BLWN402  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@daviddominique6287 Hard to say for sure what it would cost someone else as I did all work by myself with a friend... I'm really good at pricing out parts and getting costs down. I've got less than $30k into the truck including the cost of the truck ($12k). That includes all the suspension/brakes, wheels/tires, rebuilding transmission, rear and front differentials and all engine mods. You can buy a used blower and rebuild it for under $3k. It will slap on any LS motor with adapter plates for older heads or direct to L92 square port heads. I'd say ballpark you could do an LSA on any LS motor for under $5k and make some really good power. If you want a built motor with good internals like mine it will cost a bit more.
