- In the lead up to Aravaipa Running's inaugural Cocodona 250, Jamil Coury and his team are excited to share with you a new mini-series highlighting the origins of this epic 250-mile race that traverses classic Arizona terrain and iconic towns along the way. Join Jamil as he reflects on his 2019 course scouting adventure with friend Anthony Culpepper. The first episode takes you from the saguaro cactus-filled hills outside Black Canyon City, up into the Bradshaw Mountains for a stop at the Crown King Saloon, and through the pines over to Battle Flat. With many miles to go...adventure awaits.

This is so awesome. I live in the area and had no idea a race like this goes through my backyard. I would love to do this race someday but not sure I'll ever work up to such an epic distance.

The change of terrain and weather within miles is by far my favorite thing about Arizona. So incredible to include so much variety in one event!! Really looking forward to this event! (Volunteering not running lol)
This is incredible. I’ve been a fan of the channel for a while. Outside of the marathon distance. I’ve only done a 50k and the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge. I first need to complete a 100 miler, but this would be a dream come true!
