I have a problem with heavy clothing , since it's usefiul only half of the year is the same i have with sleep/shelter gear . The latter is only useful when you camp. Both are vulnerable to getting wet, I found ways to make them othewise useful.

learn to use the 1 way projectted heat of a Siberian fire lay, bro Learn to use a 4 log variant of the Alternative Swedish fire torch (or 2 of them) to ignite the Sibieran when all is wet.

bugnet suits are of course useful in hot weather, but they are also very insulating in winter, especially when debris is stuffed between 2 such suits, also, spiders and ticks can survive seveeral weeks at 20F or colder, by burrowing into debris. If you use debris as insulation, you must have the bugnet suits, or you must heavily smoke, EACH handful of debris before using it as insulation. If that insulation is not enclosed in netting, there is a risk of "new" insects burrowing into it, too The camo nets of course let you hide from game and men, but they can also serve as wind blocks If they are pitched at a steep angle, they will shed rain. Wrapped around you, between the bug nets, they serve as very good long johns. Debris can be put under the wraps of netting, for more of an increase in insulation. The bugnet suits are fragile, but the camo nets can be used to help you carry debris, boughs, etc for building shelters The camo nets can also make a baited net weir for fish, while the net-hammock is used as a gillnet and as a seine, forciing fish from 5 ft deep water into 1 ft deep water, where the net-weir is set.

@@Outdoorswithniko cant read, eh? the only reason i'd be out there is shtf, and if shtf, there's another 20 lbs of food, water, ammo, night vision armor, batteries, helmet, etc, that have to be carried. You also have to be able to jump uip, run, diver proner, roll over, repeat, and that's not going to happen with much more than 40 lbs. When everythng else has go be held to 20 lbs, including a day's water, things get cramped really badly.

all gear testing should be done in the worst conditions and that means in rain, wind and just above freezing. Such condititons DO happen a lot in fall and spring, are common in winter and CAN occcur at any time in the mountains. then your shelter has to provide FULL coverage and if your sleeping gear is vultnerable to getting wet, you have to know what to do about abouut that. This camp would not suffice in wind and rain and you're carrying a lot of stuff. to include many lbs of clotnig. What to do with that clothng when it's hot, eh? you still have to lug it arouund. What to do when you need to hide, either from men or game? What to do when it's 100F and buggy? This type of shelter gear is of no help when you have to go get water, firewood, hunt fish or hike. i developed sleeping gear that can be worn as clothnig , is not effected by its getting wet and it's all useful in hot weather. It's very compaart, lightweight and low cost, and you have to know how to use it It can be set up a dozen or more different ways, which you need in order to properly handle the variety of conditions one encounters out there. The MSS is very heavy, bulky, expensve for whtat it does.
