Ok you got me at 0.04 seconds beautiful pantographed Campagnolo group set, another classic frame, shamals, your exacting mechanical craftsmanship……..everything to love and enjoy here. Often I think there’s a lack of appreciation of how far Alan’s unique technology advanced bikes in general, so refreshing to see the brand that dominated CX for 20 years with multiple world champions showcased here. 👏👏👏
Thank you so much man. Alan really dominated cyclo-cross for many decades and especially in the period when our Czechoslovak racers were world leaders: Šimůnek, Camrda, Glajza, Kreuziger sen. and many more...
Absolutely gorgeous frame and gruppo ! I had an Alan aluminum in blue in the 80's. All Mavic SSC gruppo. Loved the comfort and compliance of the frame for century rides. Back then I was 150 lbs. I wouldn't ride one now as I am closer to 200 lbs 😂. Beautiful work as always ! Looking forward to your next video. Bravo Maestro ! 🙌
I also had a blue gorgeous Alan sometime in the early 90s. Unfortunately, in the large size of 62cm, it was so soft that I could not ride it. I still have a red 58cm from my dad and he is fine. Thank you for your great support.
Hi Mike! I follow your workouts on FB! The frame is new, maybe a bike was built on it, but it looked unused. The groupset was polished and pantographed. I didn't ask about the price!
C record 1st edition on a silver aluminum Alan is my "most" prized possession [ with three substitutes that don't clash with the gruppos esthetics - modern pro fit record pedals, Campagnolo 2000 era smooth clamping arm titanium skewers , 1st edition Chorus monoplanar brakes ]
Ou .... nossa, a bicicleta é muito bela, e como sempre uma perfeita montagem, realmente fiquei encantado com algo a mais do quadro dela. Esta eu colocaria na minha garagem duas rodas para sempre. d;)
I'm not entirely sure either, I bought an Alan about 1987+- in 62cm and rode it twice...first time and last time. It was incredibly soft at this size. On the other hand, all the cyclocrossers of the 80s and 90s won at the Alans...they were probably smaller than me?!
Question: The Bottom bracket--Is it a Chorus or a C-Record? It seems the 11-ball retainer bearings are too big for a C-record axle. Shouldn't it use 7/32 bearings (Either 12 or 14 in the ball retainers)? Also does the axle say 70-SS, SP, or SPc? Thanks! I had a C-record 70-SS axle and it was around 2-3mm smaller than a SP axle.
BB is not C record, C record has alu cups and smaller balls. I don't know the description on the axle, the bike is not mine and unfortunately I didn't remember it. Thank you for watching the video.
Dokonalá stavba, kterou nebude snadné překonat - možná nějakým Colnagem Oval CX s Campa 50 Anniversary. Jen bych vyměnil omotávku Force, respektive koncovky - tohle by si zasloužilo nějaké Colnago "bar plugs", kterých je eBay plno. Ať se daří!
Campagnolo bearings have a different design and are inserted in this direction. Other than Campagnolo I do not use, I prefer to put separate balls in this case. Thank you for watching the video.
every opening of your Campag toolbox should be accompanied by a choir of angels and golden light!!
Thank you very much, I always enjoy your comments.

Campo C je najelegantnejsia, ako Shimano M950 v MTB. Super video dakujem

Obrigado amigo.
I'm not sure about the frame. I'd prefer steel.
The groupset absolutely top of the line.
Thank you so much for showing👍

@@OnRoadVintageBikes my daily bike is aluminium. A slope design with carbon fork and seat stays.
Works really well.

Děkuji za podporu, opravdu to kolo je pecka. Omotávka je klasický korek jako jsme jezdili tehdy. Ok špunty jsme mohli dát lepší, dobrá připomínka.

Am I imagining things or did those BB bearings go in the wrong way round?
