I love this band and this line-up in particular. Many comment on the incredible rhythm section of Naho and Kanako; yet Chisato is the glue and obviously the main talent as the songwriter and singer. Imo, the only band that comes close to Lucie, Too's rocking vibe these days is perhaps South Korea's Boys and Girls Drinking Club when they don't punk out too much (and the latter more often sings in English). I'm so glad to have found Lucie, Too a few years back, and keep them on rotation quite often despite not knowing a single word of Japanese other than Domo Arigato Lucie, Too!

I'd love to see the current line-up live since it's been a while since I've been to a Lucie, Too show. ハク。(Haku) and noranekoguts are two all-female Kansai-based bands that you might want to check out. メレ (Mele), きんようのよる (Kinyounoyoru), and 傷女融解 (Shojo Yukai) are pretty dope too though Kinyounoyoru might be too post-rock/emo leaning for your tastes and Shojo Yukai are super young (17yo) and still learning to be more technically proficient. Are they only touring in Canada? I'm not unopposed to going to Vancouver to see them, but if they are playing in Seattle/Portland/San Francisco that would be easier for me.
Lucie,Too isn't coming to Canada on their own. I am flying them to Canada along with three other bands (The Taupe, Yubisaki Nohaku, Bakyun the everyday) and an awesome idol group (Koutei Camera Girl Drei). I am using my own money to do this and I lose over $30,000 each tour (I've done 11 tours already). There's no way I can afford to bring the bands to the US, not to mention the issue of obtaining work visas for the bands.
