Can someone please get Ms. Clara to do more soloist spots. The only thing on youtube is the Ibert piece and I have already worn it on playing it on repeat. I enjoy her musicality so much. Her tone soothes my soul. More Clara more more more!

Isn't Clara fabulous. She is the gem of the HR orchestra. After hearing and watching her play this I had to scan thru all of the HR concerts I could find on line to hear more of her playing. They even have her doing a lot of real solo work. Wow!

Wholly original masterpiece! The year before this Jean Sibelius composed 'The Swan of Tuonela', creating an impression of atmosphere & mystery similar to Debussy. Debussy could not of known that piece so I see the similarities as evidence that great minds think alike.
Amazon Prime's "Great Music of the 20th Century" by Professer Greenberg suggested watching this. I listen to classical music from this channel almost daily.
Man nimmt diese Musik mittlerweile ja so selbstverständlich hin. Wenn man aber mal eine kleine Hörreise macht und Werke vergleicht die zeitgleich geschrieben worden sind und sich dann in Jahresschritten die letzten 10 Jahre vor der Komposition annähert, dann merkt man erst wie aussergewöhnlich dieses Werk ist. Nicht Stravinskys Sacre ist der Beginn der Moderne. Das hier ist es.
Tolles Orchester, die das blasse Dirigat gut kaschieren. Allen voran Frau Andrada de la Calle! Was für ein wunderbar sonoren, zarten, rhythmisch schwebenden Klang ihre Flöte hat - Weltklasse! Das macht ein Pahud oder Auer auch nicht besser.
