Huge Cait fan but I feel sorry for her. She's already proved she's great. She owns practically every important collegiate hoops record (both men "and" women) in history and plays an exciting brand of basketball. But apparently to her haters she must prove her greatness every time she's on the court. And it isn't even about rings, because even if she wins her first it won't be enough. I'm pulling for her no matter what.

@@1891kmk The advertisment deals she gets are totally separate from her WNBA salary. If a company offers her millions to endorse their products, they do so because they feel she's a good return on their investment, and considering the millions she already has and "will" generate for the league and their sponsors I don't think what she's getting paid is out of line. That's market capitalism at work. She didn't demand anything, they "offered her" the deals.
As for her WNBA salary, I completely understand why she's only getting pd what she is. That's all the WNBA/teams can afford. Again, simple economics. I'm just saying compared to the money she's generating for the league and being the 1st overall pick vs NBA money, she's getting practically nothing. If she DOES keep up the monumental interest and pushes all those advertising dollars, ticket sales, and merch demand for the league, she should get compensated for it.

I am a huge Clark fan. They actually didn’t even follow women’s basketball until I accidentally started seeing her highlights and then I got into watching her about three years ago and now I follow I followed her team. I got to know the whole team I really liked Gabbie Marshall with her defense. I mean some of the stops that girl would make and the last closing minutes was amazing, I wish she had more around her if they got her like one other big named player they probably would’ve won one of those championships. I’m excited for her to be on because Indiana‘s got a lot of talent around them and I think when she makes passes, they’re gonna finish unlike Iowa.
I feel really bad for her because there’s so many. I don’t know what else to say with stupid women basketball players in this league. They don’t realize how much she’s moving the needle that she could get this league out of the black and actually not need the NBA’s money anymore, which would mean more salaries for everyone And she could get a lot more games put on television, which would be better deals, which would be more money #MIN the amount of merchandise that she has sold already now her basketball jersey is the number one jersey selling right now. do you know how big that is? A female female WNBA basketball player has the number one highest selling jersey in the world?. And if there’s more eyes on her just like it happened in college basketball, they’re going to see other players because you know what all the sudden I started seeing how exciting college basketball games were even ones without her and I actually think they played the game better than men do because they can’t dunk a lot of times come on down and dunk. The girls always set up pass sometimes pass more than like two or three times and then take the shot attempt unintelligent close minded Ella’s that that’s the best word for it is jealous specially Diane Taraz she’s jealous of them all given her such a hard time where maybe if they embraced her it would even be better for her and the league right now I’ve heard more about the WNBA than I’ve heard in the last decade every day. It’s talked about I go on google TH-cam it’s all over the place and I mean I’m already seen a lot of the talent out other than Katelynn Clark that has by watching their practices so once I start watching the other games I’m gonna start seeing how talented other teams are. It’s just.

TW, i agree with you on just about everything. CC will bring the fans to the wnba but the rest of the players must give them reason to stay-so true!
also, CC wasn't just a good player and got the attention, what got her the attention was the fact that she was breaking ncaa records monthly and converting rediculous 3's on her way to the finals. she was also doing it on a pretty good team not a top tier one. The fact that she kept beating the top tier teams made it more of a story. in the end, the matchup in height in the finals was in my opinion the differnence. if Iowa had one of those tall centers to rebound it might have been back to back victories. for all those wnba players hating, i wonder if they had been on an above average team i college would they have broken all the ncaa records as well as lead their teams against the best to the finals back to back? -
    Love your show!
