When eating crab, you have to crack the joints starting at the tip. You wiggle it from side to side then after you disjoint it, slowly pull on the tip, and you should be able to get whole pieces of crab .
I worked at a upscale seafood restaurant for a few years when I was younger. Half of those ordering crab, would want the server to crack all the meat out for them, so it only took about a minute if you knew what you were doing.
As for the lobster, yours was already out of the shell, but if it is not. You get a towel and then break all the pointy bottoms off and then shove a fork in the tail, and twist and the whole tale comes out of the shell in one piece ...
as for blue point oysters, that is a huge pain in the ass shucking oysters. But make sure you find them when they have been resting for a while, cause it is easier to open them. But you always should be wearing a metal mesh glove, but you find that joint and shove your shucking knife in that joint and twist and it opens real easy... You then need to go around the edges and dislodge it, then remove it by scraping the shell...
I once had to crack about 80 oysters for a large corporate meeting for appetizers. The girl helping me shoved the knife rate through the palm of her hand...All the way through...That is why you never shuck oysters without a metal glove.... Lots and lots of blood...and you don't want it getting all over the food..... Just Saying ~Deb

i grew up in south Florida and am Pilipino . when i was 13 I was paid by my best friends neighbor to shuck oysters and clams for there new years eve bash .
we shucked 12 cases from 5pm to 9pm before we had to stop ( the cases were still frozen by then)
when I checked my hands the left one was a claw from holding so many ice cold clams and oysters.
got paid $200 bucks so it was like 50cents a Piece . but still i think we ate like a 3rd of what we shucked because the people at the party didn't know how to eat them and I got a kick out of showing them. lol

You don't know how to eat crab...
Break the joints apart which removes the tendons from each section. THEN, you can MAN UP and hold the crab in order to split the shell and remove LARGE pieces of crab.

Ah...the famous Sterling Brunch. I was there in January and boy was it worth it! I was glad to have had this unique experience which almost didn't happen, partied too hard Saturday night but managed to not get too hungover and get my ass over to Bally's. First this place is hard to find because it isn't called The Sterling Brunch on the wall, it's the BLT Steak which is confusing. So once there, I was able to confirm the booking which had to be done online waaaaayyy in advance. We got there as the buffet service was about to wrap up and the place was mostly empty and quiet. It is pretty dark and Webster the omelette chef hooked it up with fantastic service making a special off the menu eggs benedict that was very complicated but made it happen! Now that's service worth the $100!.I saw the giant poppers on the table but passed because there was so much to eat at the buffet. I had the lobster tails, lobster bisque, lobster ravioli, sushi, the king crab, the lamb, the filet mignon and unlimited caviar and champagne. It was a perfect way to cap up the Las Vegas trip of pornstars and Britney Spears before catching the flight. The lobster tails are very filling and it was in my opinion worth coming back...I didn't have room for desserts but they aren't known for desserts anyways...it's all about the all you can eat lobsters! Plus no children running around!

Yuck hate lamb. Just now starting to like gyro meat and I think that's only because of the tzatziki sauce. Eating king crab legs can be dangerous. I once poked a hole through my fingernail trying to eat king crab legs. I stopped buying king crab legs for a while after the thumb fingernail injury. Please someone show this guy how to eat the king crab legs before he gets injured. I recently saw a video on ytube where the guy actually used wadded up paper towels to grip the king crab legs. Now th before breaking them apart at the joint. That may work! I also will gingerly use a steel mallet to smash the claws. LMAO! Love Derick's videos!

Here's how a PRO attacks that buffet:
    1. Eat at minimum 2 dozen lobster tails.
    2. Eat 2-3 pounds prime rib.
    3. Eat 1-2 pounds filet mignon.
    4. Two dozen fresh oysters.
    5. Two dozen shrimp.
    6. Fresh blueberries and strawberries for dessert.

Actually I have done that TWICE now BUT took most of it "to go" with the aid of two young lady friends with purses that were modified to be able to hold and store the lobsters and beef at a safe temp for 30 minutes it took to get to the car and put in coolers. We ended up eating 2 lobster tails and 1/2 pound of prime rib or filet every night for a week at home!

@@jackbor4 not true. The term ghetto which is Italian pronounced ('getto) was first used in Venice to described the part of the city where because of economic and social reasons Jews were restricted and segregated. So a ghetto could refer to ANY group of minorities Chinese, Spanish, Jewish, Russians, not just blacks, who for economic, legal or social pressures are compelled to live together in a certain part of any city.

It does looked like things changed, but as much as things change things stay the same. I would eat the high end products if you are worried about getting your monies worth lamb chops , filet mignon , king crab legs ect.

Agreed. In Europe that $99 translates into 70 Euros, which is a simple dinner in a nice restaurant with 2 drinks. Just the sheer amount of prime seafood you can get at this brunch is astounding. There are a few Brasilian BBQ buffets where you can get quality steaks, but nothing on this scale. Color me impressed, I definitely would visit being the seafood lover that I am.
