I really enjoyed your video. You're such a fresh young person with wonderful ideas and not afraid to share them. Sharing them with delicate wording and points of view without offending people. I'm in my mid-70s, and I still enjoy doing different things to my home. I liked your video content and learned a lot from it.
SO with you on the all-white kitchens and subway tile. In my dream kitchen re-do, I will have Zellige tile. Thankfully I know not one person who has them. And I am giggling at your commentary re: about finding a home for your plants or feeling guilty. Same, girl. Same. I used to be Team Houseplant and herbs but I'm over the upkeep. Orchids is as far as I go now. Spring 2024 is all about wood tones, sage greens and travertine! Even in Target's Studio McGee and Magnolia Home. Cool tones are out and warm tones are in.
lol glad we see eye to eye 🤝 I’ve always loved warm tones! But have been more intrigued by blue lately which is out of character for me! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@stephyoungren I feel like I *just* replaced all my sage green with blues in the past couple of years and now it's sage green again! 🤪I guess I'm not one to jump on color trends so I'll just enjoy my coastal blues for a while...
Hi Steph, I agree with many of the the points you brought up. Barn Doors...... I agree.... the hardware alone just slaps you in the face and it's so bulky looking. Pocket doors are a better solution, but it's a lot of work if you end up having to tear into a wall to install. White subway tiles?...... yuck! Never was a fan of them and ALL WHITE KITCHENS..... double yuck. I prefer subtle earthy tones myself, with a few contrasting colors, but in the same family. Just to break it up. Not to mention the lighting is very important. Maybe do a segment on lighting in a future episode. Plants...... love them...... on the patio..... maybe a small fern in the bathroom, or succulents on the window sill. But when I saw some of the pics you posted, I thought a monkey was going to pop out somewhere........lol! The whole t.v. thing.... I will hold my opinion on that one after I do some research on different options out there. But I do agree with you... there's a better solution. Love the videos! Keep them coming!
Hi Perry! Thanks for your comment and sharing all your thoughts on my "hot takes". I love your idea for a video about lighting. I will definitely talk about it because it's such an important topic!
I love, white in my house but agree with you on all white kitchens. Also, the TV black rectangle: yeah, not a fan of the look regardless of how sleek it looks.

I wish people would stop with the wood-look tile. It’s going to look outdated and people will be ripping it out in 5 years, mark my words. 🤣
Oh that’s a good one, I totally agree!
