Billed as the "Magnum Opus" of Randall Smith's 50+ year career in visionary amp design - the Mesa/Boogie Mark VII takes a wealth of knowledge, history, innovation, and performance and distils it into what might just be the simplest, most versatile, and smallest 90-watt Mark Series amplifier ever. The three-channel, nine-mode preamp loaded Mark VII creates a new amplification icon in terms of adaptability, soulful tube tone, and magic feel that will serve any discerning player well. Nick Jennison reviews.

Dude you absolutely kick ass!! Fantastic technique brother! And thanks for reviewing the mark 7, im gonna purchase one in the next 5 months, but most likely will buy the head then a 2x12 cab. Thanks for the great review m 🎸😎🎸
I’m glad to see this guy is ok! His channel hasn’t had anything new in forever and I’m glad he is well. His reviews are the best on this channel.
Love my Vii head through a 4x12
Between my JVM 410 and this guy there’s very little I can’t dial in
This is a great vid for
“Presets” thanks for that
I will say the combo as expected does sound a bit boxey, constrained?
But of course it’s a combo and great for smaller rooms but still allows for the larger cab connectivity where all that lovely air can snuff out a candle at 10’
I bought the mark seven head and a 2x12 cab. 10 months ago, and I love it. I have a mark four-b combo since 2001 , I like it too but it’s very heavy and way more complex to operate & dial in, switch wattage..the mark seven is lighter and smaller head & combo and more user friendly. My mark seven & Soldano SLO are my favorites now!
Thank you for taking the time to explain this you made it very easy to understand It is a excellent amp.
It's £4000 I hear , brutal playing! I'll have to stick to my boss katana for now, doubt anyone would nick it either, that les Paul is so sweet, great review
Great detailed demo, btw!👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you! Cheers!
Demo how you would use it, Great. I liked the Mesa Petrucci type amp too!
How comes the mark 7 has done away with the depth control?
Nick reuniting with his old friend Gibson LP😊
Mesa boogie could be my second favorite amp after Vox!!!!!!!!!!! They are more aggressive than a Vox AC30, but they sound great!!! And in spite of anyone else is comments, they can absolutely perfectly fill a small club with lots of sound!!!!!!!!!!!
Though Mesa is not my thing, this is an excellent video in every respect!
The prices in the UK and EU are abnormal... If Mesa decides that the prices are the same as in the USA, I will buy some model. I saved up money to buy a JP2C and thought that this day would never come, but when I saw the prices, I thought it was some joke. Why does Mesa think that he can humiliate me in this way. JP2C in the USA costs 3700e. It is more worthwhile for me to go to the USA and buy this model there than to pay for it here. Whoever tells me that the prices cannot be the same, look at the prices of SPLAWN, amps you will see that there is a small difference in the price between the USA and the EU/UK
Mesa, good luck with the sale, but I'll jump ahead and spend the money where I'm respected both as a customer and as a musician. This disrespect is below any level. Whoever is crazy to spend money and pay these prices, I wish you good luck as well.
Just wish they kept the tweed on the 7
Sounds better than my mark v I had. I didn’t really care for the tweed setting.
I own an old Mesa Boogie F30 and refuse to part with it, as it rocks!
Nice
We loved it
Widdle Dee Widdle Dee Widdle Waddir Widdle
Im sticking with boss and spark
Calling anything about this amp Vox-ish is hysterical.
Somebody please call the fashion police. Faded and ripped up jeans and an unbuttoned velour shirt with the sleeves rolled up? Russell Brand wants his wardrobe back.
Nah. Listen to the chops. Russell is wearing THIS guy's wardrobe.
$3,700 to much not worth the money as a single speaker combo
