Cant believe I just got to this. This comic book haul really is my favorite for some reason. Just your voice....its softness and sweetness.....makes my skin tingle like never before. So enjoyable. I'm going to be replaying this for a long time. ❤

I love seeing someone so genuinely happy to get some of these books that most people would look over because they're not "perfect". In my buying, I usually try for these lower or mid-grades because the kid in me loves reading those old golden, silver, and bronze age books.
Being from the UK, Valiant Comics aren't really that easy to find. My Family was taking a holiday to Florida recently, so I took the opportunity to get some Valiants due to your recommendations. The huge Comic Shop that my Family has been to before told her that Valiant comics aren't good and instead recommended Image. I've read some of Saga by Image and it was a great read. I told them to ignore the Shop and buy them anyway. I'm really looking forward to reading them!
+Jordan Gough For sure Image is putting out some amazing books but Valiant is definitely doing the same as is Aftershock. Comic shops are a weird and funny place. In the new city that I've moved to there are three comic shops on the same block. One is mainly focused on games, another is mainly focused on comics except for Valiant, and the third is all about staying on top of their game and order ample number of Valiant books - this is the one I shop at. The owner of the third store reads the Valiants as well and loves them, that's who I got the huge A&A stand from that I showed in a previous video. I do hope you like what your family brings back to you, and for sure, if you remember, let me know what you think of them. It's always cool to get other peoples take on them.

Great video! You can fix the Superboy comic lose spine with bookbinders glue. (not regular glue) You can get it in art stores often. And Bookbinders glue leves no stains But use a smal brush to put on the glue wait 4 sec and reatatch. Also useful; first test with some regular paper. Bookbinders glue is about 4 dollars for 250 ml. Just some advice.
Dear Chycho, the comicbook called *Camelot 3000*, published in 1989, is one of my favorite. Also any japonese comics made by *Katsuhiro Otomo* have a place in my heart as well.
For sure Otomo is a master storyteller. The only book I've read from him is Akira, it's one of my top 5 all time favorite series of all time. I do have to read more of his work though.... and Camelot 3000 is now added to my list - it's going to take me a while to fill my ever expanding comics to get list... i like it, thanks :)
yes, dear chyco, *Domu* and *Memories* are both amazing books from Otomo. There is a very strong & twisted non-classic love story inside *Camelot 3000* which was very well illustrated also.

My videos are in general long and I do jump from topic to topic - math, comics, pomegranates, beards, ASMR, games and what not - maybe that's too much. For me, it works and I do love the jumps and the creative processes so I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking to my rhythm for a long time to come yet.

+FrF For sure Monster Hunter was one of the sweet books, all Ditko art at 7-7.5 for $2+ ...can't beat that.... I was actually surprised how many Ditko books this package had, after the fact I realized what a great collection this was. As for Superman. I'm surprised. I always thought it was Batman. +AirsickCashew I'm very low budget. I use a $10 to $15 Boya Lavalier Microphone that I buy from ebay. It's a great deal and does what I need it to do. It gets shipped to me from China. The first one I bought lasted me about 2 years. I just recently started using a new one because the old one was starting to give me some problems. I also bought two extras. I actually looked around locally for other options but the closest thing I could find was going to cost me $200plus, which I thought was absurd, I can buy some awesome comics for that much money :)
+chycho That's awesome! I honestly thought you were using a mic akin to what other ASMR TH-camrs are using like the Blue Yeti Pro. The quality is surprisingly good for that price.
+AirsickCashew It did surprise me as well how good the quality was. What I've basically done is learn as I've produced and I hope to continue this process for a long time to come. I'll probably upgrade to a more heavy duty sound and video system some time in the future. Right now my main effort goes towards putting together as informative as content as I can, so most of my energy, and money, goes towards the educational aspect of things... the new hardware and software and the bling-bling will come with time.
to your "could have passed as a golden age comic" remark: I wonder if any publishers tried to market their silver/bronze age comics as "golden age" style comics LOL..."edgier than your normal post-code comics"
It would be interesting to find out. I know modern comics do, there are a few variant covers that are totally Golden Age style. They look beautiful actually.
