Wow. Nice Vintage find you got there. I didn't know Mitsubishi made a trimmer, but it makes sense. It kinda looks like an old Wisconsin Robin (Fuji Heavy industries) weed trimmer I own.

There’s a brand sold only in Southern California that used to run these Mitsubishi and Kawasaki engines. They’ve modernize but cool to see some of the older models kicking ass .

pimpinpenz I forgot to mention, there’s another brand that’s similar to TMC called Astron. Not as popular but their site is under star garden supply inc.

That's a cool machine! Built to last. I wonder how much that costed back when it was new?

Paisteboy thanks! I’m unsure but the used ones I have seen are selling for around $200. That’s why I’m reluctant on purchasing the used one.

I hear ya. Modern commercial machines cost a little more than that but are worth it for all of the modern technology. I love my Stihl FS90R. Tons of power and always starts with ease, even after sitting all winter long.

I am pretty sure that carburetor is a to carb it’s a valve slider carb you can do some research to find the right non oem carb diagram rebuild kit it was hard for me to find the diaphragm kit for my shindaiwa T25 that’s the only reason I was able to buy that unit it was from 1984 and cost 450 dollars new back then the rebuild kit was by Oregon company so bought 5 kits and just bought a shindaiwa T20 small carb than the 25 but same slider carb and for this t20 being a 1991 model it has no wear what’s so ever pulling the pull cord it’s like brand new had to order shindaiwa t270 rebuild kit as nothing showed for the t20 but both units use same carb so I am 30 do,Lars in for the t20 plus 31 dollars for to carb rebuild kits and a cheap China epa reg carb plus 11 bucks for air filter cover and once all parts come in I’ll have a kick ass weedwacker that will last another 30k plus run hours or more never I mean never use cheap ass 2 cycle oil that is what kills 2 cycle engines wuickly I only run shindaiwa red armor 32/1 fuel mix or 4 ounces of red armor for every gallon of fuel but I always add a couple extra drops per gallon rather be safe than sorry and never had any issues yet my newer shindaiwa t242 I bought new back in 2011 has well over 18k hours of run time on it and still using it to this day only thing I do is replace diaphragm kit in carb at the end of every lawn season as I can’t have it failing on me out in the field during the summer busy months I am shindaiwa for life up until echo bought shindaiwa out going to try out Mitsubishi trimmers old units like what you have along with tanakas and old makita 2 cycl trimmers if I ever find real nice units on the cheap if you know what your doing and how to fix non running trimmers like I do then it’s no big deal I actually laugh at people I buy my non running units off of as 10 to 20 bucks for a carb rebuild kit and around 1 hour of cleaning and tearing the carb down cleaning and applying new diaphragms and they run like new.
