I used my own link to play it, and I got the starter pack and everything (I had to claim it in the treasure box in the top right. or maybe you have to click on referral program to get them?) I've actually been playing it a bit and starter my own clan, so when you're able to join clans feel free to search Captured in Words and it should pop up! 👍

Masterpiece of a recap! I always tell friends these books only get better the more times you read them. One detail I never noticed before was the similarity between Kvothe’s near-death vision and the description of the angels. I would almost say some of the details and connections could be a stretch, but Patrick Rothfuss * never * puts anything in his writing without meticulous intent.

    • @CapturedInWords

Thanks Kiera! They definitely get better with each reread, there's still little details I pick up on each time I read it which is one reason why I love Pat's writing. The mention of the four plate door having "No hinges or handle" sounds, rhythmically, similar to Taborlin having "No key or candle." Now, there may not be anything to this, but I have heard Rothfuss say that he likes, and works hard to have his prose read rhythmically like this. He's talked about a lot of editing time spent for this particular purpose. Is it possible this is a small hint as to what is behind the four plate door? maybe to do with Taborlin?
