Huge agree Howard on teams being public assets to a meaningful degree once the public pays for them. It’s ridiculous in a capitalist society this has continued as such. These kinds of corporate handouts are a bad investment and closer to stealing then an agreement. St Louis didn’t deserve what the Rams did to them, and the idea that the public should just be cool with it is mind boggling and dated and wrong. It’s not Marxist to expect an investment on your return, it’s capitalist as fuck and there’s nothing wrong with it in situations like this one. When the public taxes and resources and attention and investment are all being placed in a privately owned business with no fealty or responsibility to them we have a problem, at the very least a bad deal that we should rectify. Your solution to force teams to find local investors is good I think, as the next step of tying private assets to public land without the transference of ownership to the public probably violates a whole lotta laws that it’s also good that we have as a functioning country…
Agreed, this could go a few hours easy. Hope y’all find the time for a long form version of the pod to handle convos like these too, not to be greedy about a great thing or anything… lol

Ratto!
Great convo but you can't have a panel of 5 discussing a topic and such a short amount of time to cover it all. This was too rushed.
