This anime/manga has made such a cultural impact on people that: “A Taiwanese man who helped to stop a knife attack on a train in Taichung city has cited an anime hero as his inspiration, local media reported. Hahaha i actually listened to this news when it came out but i didn't remember at that time that the anime was Frieren.. so wholesome thanks for sharing this❤❤
himmel's legacy transcends beyond just in fictional world. bro so goated not only he inspired a man to stop an attack in public transportation, he also inspired elementary school kids to do their homeworks when they procrastinated. many also tried to try to be reconnect to their friends, families after watching frieren. he, to me personally, also taught that you don't have to do grand thing to leave behind a memory, just "insignificant little thing" is enough.
I think the reason why they went for 28 episodes instead of the usual 24 eps is so the ending of the season will fit perfectly. Also the director and animators deserve a huge credit, in the manga it feels goodbye for other characters but in the anime it felt as goodbye for the anime and us viewet. It was perfectly executed.
"Tearful goodbyes aren't our style, after all it would be embarrassing when we meet again" was the last thing Frieren recall of Himmel in his burial in episode one.
@@raec5426 The line is, but not the bit of Himmel walking away that Frieren recalls both here and at the funeral (that's connecting to that line as cyberdude explains).

Lernen is Ehre’s grandfather. She told Wirbel when they were party members that she would introduce him to her grandfather, and you can her introducing them in the end credits
Fun Fact I read from another commentor was in the outro of this ep. Ehre is introducing Wirbel to her Grandfather lernen. She makes reference to her grandfather, a first class mage, in ep 19 and 20.
Two fun echoes of earlier stuff in this episode: First, Serie giving Übel another instance where she has an exchange with another character about whether or not something is necessary (previous instances being Wirbel in the first exam and Denken in the second). Given the direct reduction in her kill-rate over time after the first exam, there's probably something to be said about her picking up some metaphorical restraint along with learning Sorganiel from the guy who uses it to hold off on killing people. Second, Frieren calling mages who only know how to fight "awkward" - she makes that same observation about warriors back in the episode with Stark's birthday, and on their way into Aüßerst Stark observes that a lot of the qualities Frieren says are important for a mage sound like warrior qualities. Bonus third round: Serie being disappointed that most of her apprentices never reached her level but not being able to tell them how she feels about them brings to mind Lord Orden's answer to Stark about his surviving son Mut ("He'll be a better swordsman than me some day." "You should tell him that." "I did. It went to his head and he stopped improving.") and Kanne's flashback to her flight class with Lawine ("If it'll help you fly, I'll be as nice to you as you want." "So you can fly after all. I'm done being nice to you.") There's a lot of rhyming history in Frieren and I look forward to when we can finally see these folks again in Season 2.
Regarding your bonus point on Serie, I can agree that praise may stunt growth and make someone overconfident/lazy/etc. However, I don't think that Serie's method is correct either. She's (almost) actively/constantly insulting her students (she doesn't feel that way but they can't tell that). This kinda creates a toxic relationship. See instead how Frieren is hard on Fern when it comes to it (like pushing her in Ep3 practice duel that they had and admonishing her for not reading the magical history textbook/tome), but also praises her and is honest with her like at the end of Ep28.
@@Diablos-pi2qy I definitely wasn't making a value judgment on Serie's approach so much as observing its place in a trend - Frieren as a story is also quite direct about praise and emotional support being for more than just children (see Frieren's interactions with Sein and the sick episode shortly after that).
60才の日本人です。60years old Japanese. 子供の頃、終わって欲しくないアメリカのTVドラマが沢山ありました。during my childhood, there were a lot of TV drama s that many people didn't want to end.フリーレンを見てるとそれを思い出します。watching Frieren remands me of that.このアニメは、その事に関する日本からの感謝のお返しの1つだと思います。I think, this amime is one way that japan gives back in gratitude for that.
ben saying he's not sad and regretting it in the middle of the episode 😂 i was crying the entire episode when i first watched it. i'm really hoping for season 2.
I want one but also fear that it’d never be able to reach the highs of season 1. It feels like one of those lightning in a bottle things that only comes around at a certain place and time with a certain group of people. Like Cowboy bebop or One Punch man season 1.
@@zade8586 i don't think i'd fear that with frieren because all it ever was at the end is a story about frieren. the show doesn't try to do crazy things like cowboy bebop & opm, it's only trying to tell her story. but i get that fear bc i have that with arcane s2 lol

I concur. They really stood out among the "reactors" of Frieren, and I watched quite a few of them. An effort worth watching every second of their videos.
You guys try to check out The Anime Club's reactions to Frieren as well. Theirs and Autosave's are my top 2 when it comes to Frieren. Not so spoiler alert: they've finished season 1 recently and considered it as a 'modern masterpiece'. th-cam.com/play/PLw3jh1wMs1Zt5Hn3BBNgAzWWxV4KW5ps9.html
Frieren is the only anime for a long time where it got me excited every week again waiting for the next episode. Before, I'm pretty much tired of anime for many years because i've watched so many animes and probably have watched 1000+ of them(i've been watching anime continously for almost 20 years). Especially when almost all of anime are following the same trope over and over again. That's why even popular animes now that alot of people get hyped for like MHA, chainsaw man, JJK, solo leveling, demon slayer, etc. I can't even finish those because of how many generic tropes they have (it make sense though, why change the tropes if it still works right? They still make money doing those tropes) I can't even finish most of anime now i just ended up just watching 2 or 3 episodes i immediately get bored and stop watching. That's why I'm happy that watching frieren somehow made me feel the joy of watching anime again.
You’ve seen a ton more anime than me so I may just need to keep watching more but surprised to see chainsaw man in that list of “tropey” anime you have, currently I would disagree
@@stonewallhackson2927from what I’ve heard. If you’re an anime-only watcher of CSM, you are more inclined to feel like it’s a generic shonen. But the things I get from manga readers make me excited for more since it sounds like we will get a lot more deep character writing. If you’re an anime-only watcher, I want to know your opinion on how CSM is not on the same tier as JJK in terms of writing.
@@stonewallhackson2927 I dont know why it suprises you, Chainsaw man for me feels extremely tropey, now i am anime only but the first season didnt seem like anything special, apart from music and animation which was great, the characters didnt seem unique apart from Makima, so i totalyl understand the guy, all of the shonens have quite basic premis especially at the begining, now it may change with chainsaw man in the future season but some people may drop it before it comes to that, oposed to that if you watch something liie Mushoku or Frieren, it feels like a breat of fresh air from the beggining and it is awesome
If I didn't know better, this season finale could have convinced me that Frieren was an anime original. It's almost freaky how well the end of this arc works for the both a wrap up the first season and a tantalizing taste of what is to come.
The author had good editors helping them to structure the manga and perhaps also thought ahead for an adaptation to anime how to set up chapters to get things neatly packaged.
@@Airwave2k2Is that even true? Every arc in the manga has always had a good concluding chapter. I don’t think it necessarily was made with the anime in mind. I mean you can even see it in episode 13 with the end of the Aura arc.
@@rediciclepop4639 I assume it to be very likely since Frieren is published in Shōnen Sunday with decades long experience since 1959. They have the staff to work with the authors from the start of the publication. I guess strongly they recognized the potential and gave advice for structure from early on to fit. Also with winning an award I guess the decision for an anime adaptation was more so on the table than before. And from there on rounding it out to fit in the 11-14 episode per season structure was taken into consideration even more.
@@Airwave2k2 I mean Shounen Sunday was in a crisis with its editorial staff for the past few years and only got its stuff together recently with the previous editor-in-chief. It’s not impossible that editors were involved but I’d rather credit the actual writer, Kanehito Yamada. It’s clear they know how to write a story. Hell, the editor even said they barely had to make any edits to the drafts they’re given. It’s not like the arcs are even structured to fit proper season lengths. The series notably had 28 episode that’s why out of the stand 24-26 that would come from most 2-cour seasonals. The next season is actually going to pose a bit of a challenge because at the pace of the adaptation, a standard length is going to position the end in a weird spot.
@@rediciclepop4639 You are right that the author will though of it too. It is not to credit the editors, but they are something to bounce of ideas, give ideas and advise. Having a crisis doesn't mean all experience is gone, it just means that the focus shifts to the highly valued prospects to get out of it eventually. How the decision was made to conclude the arc I don't know. How the segments of the exam arc work they also could have cut after the second exam and opened a 3rd cour with the 3rd part of the exam. The release was unconventional to begin with the premier of 4 episodes in one and a 2 cour that is. Maybe at some point information comes out how the decisions were made. But going back to the 28th episode that at its end is a send off written in seems to be deliberate with an anime adaptation in mind and conclusion for the arc. It just worked out that this is the best way to adapt the manga and everybody involved agreed to it I guess.
not sure if you guys noticed or I missed it in the discussion but in the end credits they show Lernen is Ehre's grandfather so Ehre was comparing Fern's fighting style to Lernen's when they fought :)
Autosave is the best and I was so amazed they chose to open the discussion by talking about my favorite character in the series. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us
You've for sure hit on one of the core themes of the show with memory. Think back to the Old Man Voll episode. Or the intermission between exams 1& 2 with the flashback of Himmel saying to change someone's life in order to be remembered.
It was a really great piece of work. Your reactions were also very good. I knew that the original manga was great, but I never expected it to become so popular worldwide. It is so popular in Japan that an orchestra concert of the OST will be held in Yokohama in August, but tickets for the concert were highly competitive, and I was lucky enough to get one.
If god forbid there is no season 2 or end to the series I would of course be so bitter and disappointed but at the same time surprisingly ok due to the fact that this show was made so well in that it feels like a window into the characters lives and this world rather than for us the audience to live and experience it. So I mean it feels like a privilege to have been able to observe a piece of it than a right to see it through til the end. I loved your reactions to this show. Hands down my favorite reaction to it. Your reactions themselves have a rewatchability factor to it 😁
They guy who went by himself into the dungeon was Methode and the little girl's other teammate during the Stille test. That's probably why they were all together during the credits even though he chose to solo the King's Tomb and the other two of them chose to join Denken.
Now i think about it, and that age and them as adventurers/travelers, to have a quick and simple way to keep your clothes always clean is really, really amazing.
My favourite mini-story within this series (anime) so far is actually Wirbel’s dialogue with frieren here. Nothing flashy or even seemingly of note, but it was so sincere and his line that “everyone had their hands full on life” hit me so hard. When I was a child, I had big dreams of what I would achieve, but now that I’ve entered the workforce I finally understand
Thank you to you both for this delightful journey Anna & Ben! I've been re-watching this exceptional series with you for these past months… I cannot but to congratulate you for all the passion, effort, theories and comments surrounding your reactions on the Frieren episodes. It's been so refreshing and enjoyable each step of the way! Kudos! This is the kind of reaction videos that fans really appreciate. I really hope we can continue this path on a season 2, but in the meantime I'll try to keep watching your channel and have a look at your Patreon. I loved the 86 anime seasons back when they first aired -I wish they'll produce more soon- so I probably follow that series with you to re-watch it this summer. You really are a fantastic pair and I couldn't be more glad to have discovered your channel thanks to Frieren. Have a terrific summer you both!
"A legendary spell from the age of mythology" is a running joke from Frieren. She says that about any everyday useful but basic spell she picks up but those aren't actually legendary nor are most of them from the days of mythology. Humans didn't even do magic for the most part before Flamme, though maybe the elves didn't like doing laundry or getting pans grease-free either.
to be fair from her perspective she is a magic collector that can create black holes and shatter reality but she still gotta scrub her underwear by hand LOL
Human does use magic its just only limited to certain magic, flower magic exist before flamme, only demon magic is forbidden. Its a running joke, but its also true, Non legendary magic is very specific (cleaning only bronze statue, binding magic for only birds at 50cm) Legendary magic probably doesn't have any limitations on its capabilities, a magic that clean every clothes types and material, is surely legendary. Heck a "see through clothes magic" is probably higher than "clean only bronze statue magic" because of the number of limitations it provides.
@@notbot5360 Imo ubel's ability of cutting things is the same type of legendary/ancient magic which she is using instinctively. The same type of magic were used by frieren's clone with that " force push" at the end of the fight.
Aw... here we are. The end to a great first season! I think Serie's mentoring always was battle oriented. That's the way she taught Flamme and that's the way that Flamme taught Frieren. Frieren loved magic but after training for a long time under Flamme, when she's old, Frieren responds somewhat, because there's no joy in combat magic. She followed Flamme's directive to not be known and just keep a low profile, until Himmel and his party showed up. That chance let Frieren rediscover the joy of magic and searching for it. Land's interview was great phoning it in and Methode's was hilarious. She and Sein would make a great pair. But we see in the credits he's probably with that lady on the beach... The manga is still going on and they proabably have enough for another season.
Übel and Land standing in front of the altar getting married: -So, can you empathize now? -Not yet Übel and Land playing with their 3 children: -Any progress? -No, still doesn't work Übel and Land as an elderly couple cuddling together in front of the fireplace: -How about now? -Nope, nothing
I see that they were curious about the false granddaughter relationship between LAUFEN and DENKEN but no one mentioned or noticed if there was a true blood relationship of Granddaughter and Grandfather between EHRE and LERNE. Ehre feels a great attachment to WILBER (infatuation or gratitude) believing that they would not pass the first test. When she heard that Wilber turned around on the boat, she wanted to keep him by confessing that his grandfather is one of the first-class magicians. We also get a reference to this when Ehre fights Fern and comments that her style is old-fashioned but regional as if she were fighting a veteran magician like her grandfather. All this is confirmed in the final images of the last episode where we see how Enrhe introduces Wilber to her grandfather, the magician Lerne. Since I think they will get along well as they are both magicians who only know how to kill and fight.
the "we dont do tearful goodbyes cuz it would be embarrassing the next time we meet" cutting into the scene with white background and himmel moving forward till he fades away literally kills me harder each time cuz i understand why frieren started crying in episode one after Himmel got buried. there is no next time. you can cry now.
That clip of Himmel walking into the light gets me every single time 🥲🥲. Everything about this show has been such an amazingly enjoyable and bittersweet journey of growth. The final clip with Himmel makes me wonder if he always knew that he would eventually see Frieren and the gang again later in life. Absolutely 12/10 apex anime ❤️😭
The last scene of Himmel, turning his back with the cape is the same scene we see in his funeral. Like the final "bracket" of the story telling is closed. Full circle. Himmel epitomizes what Gandalf say in The Hobbit :“I have found that it is the small everyday deed of ordinary folks that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.”
There _is_ a manga. It's far from finished, but there's a lot of content left, at least for one more season, maybe two, and it's just as good as what we saw in season one, if not more (the _fourth_ fan favourite character after Himmel, Frieren, and the mimics will probably appear in season two, for instance, as hopefully will a couple of the best arcs in the series so far). It's currently on an indeterminate hiatus... but it's done that before; last time it lasted about six months, and it was due to the author collaborating with the development of the anime, so... maybe we can be hopeful for a second season..? And if not, well, as I said, what's been published of the manga _is_ still great, even if we were left on a bit of a cliff hanger before the hiatus.
To add on, if the anime continues with its current pace of adapting the manga (ie, ~2 chapters per episode), there is enough material for another 32-35 episodes (since Ep28 ends on Ch60 and the manga is currently on Ch130).
Serie is just granting Frieren another mere 1000 years to finally become what she wants her to be 🙂 So, I'd be very happy if director Keiichiro Saito first takes care of season 2 of Bocchi the Rock and then, immediately, comes back to Frieren season 2. In my ideal world... 😊
I loved your series of reactions to Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, but 2 things completely shocked me: you actually like Uwel, the serial killer, and you never saw the mage's attempt to go down in history by being the one who killed Frieren coming! His awful master practically loaded him with ammunition and aimed him at her. Apart from those 2 things nothing disappointed. I think I can overlook 2 mistakes ;) lol I'm so glad I found you two and joined your patreon. You make my life a happier place to live in.
4:24 A really funny and tiny spoiler about Methode (hidden behind the read more button): . . . . . . . . . . . Serie later is forced to set a "maximum 10 minute hugging / day" rule, so she can work from Methode. And names Genau to enforce it.
Thank you for watching Frieren. It was really interesting to watch how I dug deeper into each and every one of you. I recommend Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in dungeon)as a new animation to watch. Dungeon Meshi may seem like an animation about one-off gags and food, but as the story progresses the atmosphere changes and there are more things to consider, making it more interesting.
There's actually an isekai reincarnation light novel where the main character, a high elf who will live for a thousand years (either that or 10K, but I think it was just 1K) decides to pick up sculpting a few books into the series to honor the memories of the people he met who have since passed on. I like how this series treats the "minor convenience" magic as legendary spells from the mythic era in contrast to how all the other game-like high fantasy series treat "daily life magic" as something even Villager A can do, since it's not something as crazy as combat magic. Nah, being able to skip "Physical Labor: Laundry" with Real Magic That Affects You is great! You literally gain hours in a day to do something else.
"minor convinience" for US, who have laundry machines. in thier world they either do it by hands or by some telekinesis magic, stearing the water with clothes.
Methode, the "Golem" girl and the solo guy were a team during the first exam stage. I guess the solo guy, like Richter, learned a valuable lesson about the advantages of companionship over the course of the exams ...
The funny thing is, Prestidigitation from D&D, a spell I ALWAYS try to have unlimited casting of, will do pretty much everything you guys said (and more) up until the "speak with animals" part.
Everyone says MADHOUSE doesn't do season 2, but I really hope the amount of additional care they put into this adaptation means how much they love it as well, and seeing the overwhelming positive reception they'll seriously consider it.
Even if Madhouse made second season it will not be the same without the director Keiichiro Saito. He's the one that made Frieren anime to look like this. If Keiichiro Saito isn't the director, expect drop in quality.
It will definitely come. Corporations will not miss out on a profitable project since it's a very popular, well loved and anticipated shows not to mention the artists that put so much effort into this show clearly love it as well
Serie, standing in the midst of her carefully tended flower garden: "The flower spell is garbage. Get the fuck out of here. You're banned from my magic treehouse for 1 million years"
Loved your reactions When you are in the mood for a series with the same vibe I highly recommend Spice and wolf I don't think it will have many views but just to watch it on your own time
There has (finally) been an official Frieren Season 2 announcement. There's even a small teaser trailer. AFAIK there has been no official date set tho.
That spell that Lernen uses on Frieren looks like a version of Zoltraak. It's got this odd blob shape instead of a beam. It broke through her defenses so easily too.
Thats the second show after One Piece Im obsessed with. After watching the Anime i read all Manga chapters in a day and it went on hiatus.....at a interesting story point of course....;(
18:14 For Lernen it is not so much being rembered for himself killing Frieren, but he wanted to bring "fame" to Serie he feels in debt to for making him into the great mage he is, just without a chance to make a big impact and by that bring honor to her.
if Lernen wanted to be remebered so hard, why Aura was assaulting a city for so long anf he didn't show up? why didn't he stay to help Denken later to defeat Macht? he coud make his mark in the history, if he was DOING SOMETHING
@@Circle9ru Good point why did he not actively peruse to become famous. I don't know, but he is clearly from a moral perspective not the guy to take the best decisions anyway since being a murder to become famous is out of the question for most individuals. I think we didn't see enough of him to make a judgment. You see Genau and other 1st class mages are operating in the north, so Lernen may also did do demon subjugation there. We don't know. Or maybe he is to bound assisting Serie with the leading the Continental Magic Association and for that has rather become a bureaucrat.
Have not read the Manga, but believe that Übel already learned the clone spell, and it's just sticking to Land because she find him fascinating. Serie's memory of Flamme running in front of her means that, deeply she knows Flamme was always ahead and managed to achieve the main theme of the story: 'true immortality' - Legacy. Which is essentially friends + leaving a lasting impact in the life of future generations. Without Flamme and Himmel, Frieren would like had become another disillusioned Serie. Still unsure the role of the "Goddess" and why Priest skills are so different to mages, though.
I'd recommend Delicious in Dungeon if you need more of that worldbuilding and real feeling characters to fill the hole that Frieren left. Lord knows I needed it
so we've come to the season finale~ because of how good the anime was [top to bottom incredible] i, personally, would want the director and studio to take as much time as they need to deliver season 2. that being said, i feel like Fall 2025 would be the earliest? thanks for the reactions 💞
some small manga spoilers ahead;❗ 29:17 I love how Anna was 100% right with that headcanon about Übel and Land, considering that's exactly what happens in the manga. Literally their next appearance is Übel trying to get into Land's house. I wonder what they both choose as their reward spell, since im pretty sure they weren't revealed yet. Übel's an unpredictable psycho, I have no idea for what spell she could've chosen.
the Land bit always gets me, my guy really thought he could trick the greatest mage the world has ever seen with some clone magic, i guess he was lucky Serie liked it. Not everyone agrees but Serie is really kind to humans, just now she went out of her way to make the third test an interview to avoid people dying, and lot would've died, mostly the younger ones, she could've just left them to die and not give a crap about a handful of human lives.

Fun Fact I read from another commentor was in the outro of this ep. Ehre is introducing Wirbel to her Grandfather lernen. She makes reference to her grandfather, a first class mage, in ep 19 and 20.
Wow, and she said "It feels like I'm fighting my grandfather" when she was fighting Fern. That's a high compliment.
Two fun echoes of earlier stuff in this episode:
First, Serie giving Übel another instance where she has an exchange with another character about whether or not something is necessary (previous instances being Wirbel in the first exam and Denken in the second).
I'm done being nice to you.")
There's a lot of rhyming history in Frieren and I look forward to when we can finally see these folks again in Season 2.
@@WonSab I can agree with that. 👍
it was a mere 28 episodes.... see you later Frieren!
It will only be a mere 10 years for season 2.
facts for your average One Piece fan.
@@tamarlevy5949 yeah no it’s weird cause at the same time I totally believe they can capture the magic again, it’s just not possible to totally brush away that doubt on something you love lol, you know how it is.

Thank you for the wonderful reactions trough out the whole season 1 of Frieren. I can confidently say this channel is the best when it comes to reactions to frieren.

My guy Land really in on that work from home mindset 🤣

The Frieren vs. Denken cliffhanger sent me to the manga. Now I drool over just the idea of season 2.
You’ve seen a ton more anime than me so I may just need to keep watching more but surprised to see chainsaw man in that list of “tropey” anime you have, currently I would disagree
@@stonewallhackson2927 while chainsaw man is good overall and has good moments, many of the characters/interactions are quite tropey.
7:19 Good detail in the anime: When Wirbel mentioned Himmel, Frieren's eye flinched a little
not sure if you guys noticed or I missed it in the discussion but in the end credits they show Lernen is Ehre's grandfather so Ehre was comparing Fern's fighting style to Lernen's when they fought :)
Absolute peak fiction
Autosave is the best and I was so amazed they chose to open the discussion by talking about my favorite character in the series. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us
You've for sure hit on one of the core themes of the show with memory. Think back to the Old Man Voll episode. Or the intermission between exams 1& 2 with the flashback of Himmel saying to change someone's life in order to be remembered.
Thank you for reviewing this show. It's been a truly great experience re-living this with your perspectives.
No matter how many times i watch this series it has the agility to make me cry every single time 😢😭 it will be embarrassing when meeting next time lol
15:26 Anna with the "You, stop it. Dont make me cry" motion
I read a comment saying that Serie barring Frieren for a thousand years is a way of saying "come see me in a thousand years" and I like it lol
Thank you to you both for this delightful journey Anna & Ben!
I've been re-watching this exceptional series with you for these past months…
I cannot but to congratulate you for all the passion, effort, theories and comments surrounding your reactions on the Frieren episodes.
Y’all are the best, I love how invested you are
"A legendary spell from the age of mythology" is a running joke from Frieren.
Its a running joke, but its also true,
Non legendary magic is very specific (cleaning only bronze statue, binding magic for only birds at 50cm)
Legendary magic probably doesn't have any limitations on its capabilities, a magic that clean every clothes types and material, is surely legendary.
Himmel the Hero would've appreciated your channel reaction and discussion on Frieren so far.
Aw... here we are.
Holy shit why is Frieren so damn powerful!? It makes me cry even on rewatch. XD
Übel and Land standing in front of the altar getting married: -So, can you empathize now? -Not yet
Übel and Land playing with their 3 children: -Any progress? -No, still doesn't work
Übel and Land as an elderly couple cuddling together in front of the fireplace: -How about now? -Nope, nothing
If this doesn't become canon, it'll be one of the greatest missed opportunities in the history of storytelling.
Ubel being able to make clones is terrifying.
@@BlackhaloZ That....wasn't the point of this comment... but okay....
Ubel clones... Oh my...
@@neretilderem7029 maybe he want to say.... Ubel's clone can drying Land so badly, that's why so terrifying 😏
Waiting for you to pick up on Lernen's granddaughter Ehre from the epilogue. "It's like I'm fighting my grandfather" vs. Fern.
Season 2 announced!!!!!its production is confirmed!yayyy!!
when that music started at the end during flashback 🥲
This is like my 8th watch through with reactors and without both dub and sub al great
rookie number
Land is my hero. King of the WFH mindset
the "we dont do tearful goodbyes cuz it would be embarrassing the next time we meet" cutting into the scene with white background and himmel moving forward till he fades away literally kills me harder each time cuz i understand why frieren started crying in episode one after Himmel got buried.
there is no next time. you can cry now.
I think Delicious in Dungeon is a recent show you would enjoy
To add on, if the anime continues with its current pace of adapting the manga (ie, ~2 chapters per episode), there is enough material for another 32-35 episodes (since Ep28 ends on Ch60 and the manga is currently on Ch130).
the anime will obviously come, it's popular and loved and it's personally for me remain one of the most anticipated anime of all time
Thank you very much. Great reactions. I hope that we will see another Frieren´s story really soon.
Serie is just granting Frieren another mere 1000 years to finally become what she wants her to be 🙂
So, I'd be very happy if director Keiichiro Saito first takes care of season 2 of Bocchi the Rock and then, immediately, comes back to Frieren season 2.
I think I can overlook 2 mistakes ;) lol
I'm so glad I found you two and joined your patreon. You make my life a happier place to live in.
This anime has made an impact on me like so few shows ever have. I think it will always have a special place inside my heart.

Serie later is forced to set a "maximum 10 minute hugging / day" rule, so she can work from Methode. And names Genau to enforce it.

yea, she needs personal ancient elf great mage girl😁
Thank you for watching Frieren. It was really interesting to watch how I dug deeper into each and every one of you.
I recommend Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in dungeon)as a new animation to watch.
Dungeon Meshi may seem like an animation about one-off gags and food, but as the story progresses the atmosphere changes and there are more things to consider, making it more interesting.
Beautiful episode, such a powerful ending. Thanks for making an amazing anime even better!
Ana, please just cry when you feel like crying :)
Fue un gusto seguir esta serie con ustedes, ojala hicieran reacciones o discusiones al manga jajaja
I think she already explain how its a mythology era magic, and your explanation is how it lost and become a legendary spell.
"minor convinience" for US, who have laundry machines. in thier world they either do it by hands or by some telekinesis magic, stearing the water with clothes.
as a modern person if i got in a fantasy but medieval world i would kill for a hygiene spell.
Methode, the "Golem" girl and the solo guy were a team during the first exam stage. I guess the solo guy, like Richter, learned a valuable lesson about the advantages of companionship over the course of the exams ...
Land attending the whole exam on the magic equivalent of a Zoom call is amazing and the reason he's my favourite
Well, madhouse produced Overlord. So they can go the distance if they want to.
You're banned from my magic treehouse for 1 million years"
Elves seem to be a big tsundere.
Season 2 of Frieren would be epic like its cimematic asf... Hopefully there will be
Loved your reactions
When you are in the mood for a series with the same vibe I highly recommend Spice and wolf
I don't think it will have many views but just to watch it on your own time
Now, that you've also finished Frieren on TH-cam, I would like to nominate `Overlord` for your next reaction series.
After watching the Anime i read all Manga chapters in a day and it went on hiatus.....at a interesting story point of course....;(
i feel that fight for your life to not cry because himmel the hero wouldn't want us to cry saying goodbye
@@Circle9ru Please consider hiding your spoiler since there may be anime-onlys that end up reading your comment.
Ok, I've watched all this plylist, I can assure Anna liked this so much she only closed her mouth like 4 times. 😃
Denken is the man
I'd recommend Delicious in Dungeon if you need more of that worldbuilding and real feeling characters to fill the hole that Frieren left. Lord knows I needed it
so we've come to the season finale~
because of how good the anime was [top to bottom incredible] i, personally, would want the director and studio to take as much time as they need to deliver season 2. that being said, i feel like Fall 2025 would be the earliest?
thanks for the reactions 💞
Whenever you think about Himmel, here comes breeze in the blue sky.
It breaks Himmel's heart to say. 'Good bye', face-to-face. for too long. He needs it to be fast.
Hey guys have you watched Houseki no Kuni? ....love your reactions ❤❤❤

I love how Anna was 100% right with that headcanon about Übel and Land, considering that's exactly what happens in the manga. Literally their next appearance is Übel trying to get into Land's house. I wonder what they both choose as their reward spell, since im pretty sure they weren't revealed yet. Übel's an unpredictable psycho, I have no idea for what spell she could've chosen.
perfect reaction!!!!
actualy the best anime ever made and its not even close.
Ughh, I still cried from the reaction though😭I could never be Himmel.
Way to suck back in the tears there at the end! 😂😂😂😂
I wasn’t ready for this to end :(
Great reaction and discussion!
Denken did had a specific request, he had it in mind all the time, just feign ignorance, you will know on the 2nd season.
I wonder for all other mages too. What spells did someone cautious like Land or irrational like Ubel ask for.
the Land bit always gets me, my guy really thought he could trick the greatest mage the world has ever seen with some clone magic, i guess he was lucky Serie liked it. Not everyone agrees but Serie is really kind to humans, just now she went out of her way to make the third test an interview to avoid people dying, and lot would've died, mostly the younger ones, she could've just left them to die and not give a crap about a handful of human lives.
Serie is the ultimate petty tsundere
Yeah, she's mostly just tsun and a lot of pettiness.
ben before episode start "i'm not really sad the episode end"
ben when wirble and himmel appear " tears come out"
Im so sad this show is over man
Lernen currently probably is the strongest human mage alive
