As an old woman in my 70's.....listened to Pav.....many years and this still reduces me to a tearful mess. You young man will NEVER listen to anything better. Good to see you were in awe of this man ! xx
So nice to see a reaction vid that isn't paused every 5 seconds, experiencing it uninterrupted allows the the emotion to build up to that amazing crescendo. Gives me goosebumps every time.
Great reaction. Honest and straightforward. This song, Nessun Dorma is a love song (operatic ballad?). You have listened to perhaps the greatest opera tenor to have ever lived. Pavarotti had a vocal range, power and passion that was never equaled by his peers. Glad to see you expand your musical horizons to opera. Over the years (I'm almost 70), I have come to have an eccentric music taste. I must admit, I do struggle with some of the Hip-Hop music out there today and some Rap music I simply will not listen to because its pure filth. But what I learned in my life is, music to me, is the salt & pepper for the soul. Some like it hot. Some like it mild. Some like no spice at all. But, music transcends a person's mind and touches the heart. I think you felt that while listening to Pavarotti.
Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras used to do the Three Tenor Concerts the same years as the World Cup Soccer matches. The first concert was in Caracalla in Rome and there are a lot of behind the scene videos for this concert, too. Another concert was in Los Angeles, I believe. All three of these guys are good. Glad you enjoyed the song; training to sing opera is pretty intensive and there are few voices, especially like Pavarotti, every generation. Check out Andrea Bocelli, he's got a great voice but I don't know if he sings in operas since he is blind. Also another place to find good music is Andre Reiu from the Netherlands, I think. He has a huge orchestra, plays all kinds of music...even had a Scottish bagpipe troupe as guests once and one of his musicians also plays the bagpipes which sort of looked odd, her in her gorgeous gown rocking the pipes. I LOVE bagpipes, Scotland the Brave, Amazing Grace and all sorts of jigs and reels. The Edenborough Tattoo is always worth a watch and they have groups from all over the world at their concert. The concert is held at the castle looking over the city every September, I think. Have fun with the music...music helps with this covid distress. Can't wait until the world gets these vaccines out and we can start going back to 'normal'. Stay safe.
I like you and your intelligent comments though there is a better MORE INTENSE Live version complete with Full Orchestra on here which is the superior version, most would agree :) " Luciano Pavarotti sings "Nessun dorma" from Turandot (The Three Tenors in Concert 1994) " THERE IT IS,my friend :)
You’re so young so I cannot believe your emotional reaction to Nessun Dorma. First time seeing you so I’m not sure I read you right. But we’re you almost crying at one point? If you were, I’ve been to a few operas and old, executive types have been moved to tears. So you’d be in good company.
Probably the first time you've heard those high notes *sung* instead of screamed... am I right? Welcome to an amazing world of opera. I love Pavarotti, and he was certainly one of the greats, and deservedly popular, but he was by-no-means unique. Here's the same aria by Franco Corelli, who was greatly-respected by Pavarotti. He holds that high B longer than I can hold a job... th-cam.com/video/xWy2022l4-Y/w-d-xo.html
Dont cut the video off so fast! Leave it on, watch his face, you can read his thoughts. Was it good? Did I get it just right? And then you can see think thinking Yes! I did it! and he gets the biggest smile and turns it on his audience.
There are many videos of Pavarotti performing this aria over the years. You can hear his voice grow richer as he ages, There are also many more videos of his other opera performances, and his duets with big stars for charity and benefits.
@@christinerobinson548 I think this recording shows Pavarotti at his best. In the recording that's used for almost all the other reactions, he's past his prime. As the voice ages it becomes heavier, and an aria like this is more difficult. This performance is wonderful.
Young man....that was the most respectful, genuine, loving reaction I’ve ever seen...
Well done
Thanks so so much 💟
Awesome reaction, thank you for not pausing that amazing performance!
Thanks. So refreshing to see somebody of your age to understand the same reason why I have been listening to Pavarotti for 30 years.
Exactly
Non solo un meraviglioso artista,ma una persona stupenda generoso umano non ci sarà mai più un come Luciano❤
Great Reaction young fella, bit overwhelming wasn't he. RIP Pav, never to be forgotten

Pavarotti is great
The best in our time. The recordings from the previous ones are too poor to judge.

That would be the executive types that have a soul. I can't want any of the perfectly-executed arias without balling my eyes out.
Sam Hartford Executives that go to operas are already tagging themselves as wanting to be deeply moved by operatic performances.
To someone who has never heard that kind of voice before, it is pretty intensive, almost unbelievable...I can understand someone being moved to tears.
