Mezzo sopranos can't touch this tone. It is not only manly, dark it is huge and a big range. She was lucky to have trained this alto. These rare voices do exist but they rarely go into the business as it is a tricky voice to train. They often sound heavy and bovine at 13 and get little encouragement.
