Bats have gotten way to expensive. I’m a bat person always have been but if mechanics are on point, decent power & bat speed then you can put the cheapest of bats in your daughters hands and it they will preform. Bats tech may act like it’s further along but fact is laws prevent bat companies from being as hot as the were 10years ago. End of the day you’re paying $500 for your daughter’s confidence & comfortability.

Strongly disagree on most of what you said. While yes a $500 bat does not fix poor mechanics, the bat does not swing itself, there are major differences between a $100 bat, a $250 bat, and a $500 bat. As you mentioned the bats have to pass certain tests to be certified to play. Some bats skirt that line of pass/fail and some bats never get anywhere near the fail line.
For example lets use easy numbers and say a bat needs to never drop below 1000 PSI in compression to pass the test. The lower the bat tests in PSI, the hotter/better performing it will be.
First - A high-end $500 bat and a $200 bat, might both start around 1200 PSI out of the box. While the $500 bat might drop to 1000 PSI within 20-30 hits, the $200 bat might not ever get close to 1000 PSI without breaking or might take 500-600 swings to get there.
Secondly, the composite technology can make a bat testing at 1200 outperform another bat testing at 1100-1000 PSI.
There is a lot that goes into these bats, and they are not 'all the same'. Manufacturers are constantly walking the line of what is legal and what is not. Just look at the Hype Fire USSSA Baseball Bat. It is 100% legal, but Perfect Game banned the -5 model last year because they said it was too good. That doesnt happen if every bat is the same.

$500 Easton Ghost bats cracking and parents saying it hits better after it cracks! I baught a $450 Mantra and my daughters coach said it was a dead bat 2 games into usage! Lol..Coach wanted her to swing a Ghost bat! Again its not the bat that hits the ball! Yes longevity may factor in but buying mulitple $500 bats every year or buying a bat that is known for cracking is ridiculous! Parents dont drink the Kool-aid! But on the flip there is no middle ground bat its either $400 or $500..Nothing under that!

Highly likely their bats just have cracks in the paint. If were cracked inside out the bat wouldn’t compress & flex the pressure back out through the ball
