    Great channel and useful comparison!
    If I may ask you: would you consider using the A100 as mainly a TV Speaker and for using to stream some music? Any other option?
    Thanks and congrats for your work here!

    The less 'bass' on the S880 is softer to my ears...less throbbing to my head..and the mid's and high's are very clear and clean...awesome speakers...they would be perfect for my laptop... :)

      S880db is hard to beat for its size and sounds a bit dry.. A100 maintain the treble of the S880db plus wider soundstage and beefier bass, depending on your room size.. i already have S880db and R1700bt.. i guess ill add a100 to the inventory soon.. 😊

    Great to see so much love for the s880’s. I bough mine last year on prime day and love them. Use them all day when working from home. I will be getting the s3000 pro for the lounge room next. Can’t wait

    Both are good. Edifier is to clear and airpulse win with more volume and more bass. The highs sounds more natural

    listening with Sennheiser CX plus TW:
    Given that the Edifiers are only 250 € and have a much smaller footprint I must say that the 880s are the far better bargain.
    The differences in sound characteristics are mostly due to the larger housing of the A100.
    So in the end its a question how much you are willing to spend.
    My pick would be the 880 which sound awesome and are crafted with outstanding quality (best looking bookshelf speakers I ever saw 😁)

    Both Edifier good sound and good looking speaker. i like S880DB the look, sound A100 way better, but S880DB way cheaper. Edifier they really know how to make good speaker.

    I see S880Db much closer to the original (excepting the low bass). It is expected to have less bass as is a smaller drive. Too much highs for A100, the bass is just a bit more over S880Db.

    The AirPulse are better. The Edifier here has. 4” driver, AP has a five. The AP tweeter is better as well. Edi’s are $270 and the AP’s are are $1000+. For desk/computer the Edi’s get my vote as you would still have plenty of $ left to buy a great subwoofer and put the rest of the cash in your pocket.

    • @DSAUDIOreview
      @DSAUDIOreview  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I agree, S880DB paired with good sub would give A100 a run for its money. Too bad S880DB has no subwoofer output though...
