These two recordings of the Ist and 2nd violin parts for Bach's Double Violin Concerto are fantastic Nancy. Very useful for working up the parts at home prior to reheasal. Thankyou so much. I will definately be using them. Mark Stephenson - Plymouth, UK.
Wow! This helped so much! I play the first violin part, so I played along with the second violin part. I played this piece for a concerto competition for my orchestra, and a won! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for putting this up -- it's nearly impossible to find a recording of a single part, and I'm currently learning this one for a concert. It's extremely helpful to hear this for intonation, counting, etc. Thank you again!
I am having so much trouble with this and this helps so much ; I don't know where I'd be if it weren't for this video . Thank you so much for the upload !
suzuki book 4 cd have the recording of both violins and my son kept getting lost learning the 2nd violin part. so this video is very very helpful. thank you!
hey is there something like this for cello???? I'm having a really hard time with the notes and in all the recordings I have found the cello part is really quiet. plz help
No, the two parts are equals. They trade off playing the melody, both use the first three positions, and both have a few tricky parts that you have to really practice to play well. If you are learning using the Suzuki books, the second violin part is the one you learn first.
Hi thank you for posting this! Have you ever recorded the first violin on its own? I'd quite like that to play along with while I learn the second part... Cheers :)
Keep after it! This piece is a milestone in any violinist's career and you will play it your entire life.
Thanks for making the video! I am looking for a version at your speed but I wish it was with a piano part instead of your voice :)

Keep practicing! The Bach Double is a huge milestone in the violin repertoire.

Wow! I'm first violin, too!
Glad it helped you! I haven't made a recording of the first violin part, but now that you have requested it, I will make a point to record one.
