Question does the car warm up when you automatically starts it up with your key fob? Like the rogue
Yes, with remote start it will auto heat or cool the cabin based on outside temps. Including heated and ventilated seats

Transmission, excessive oil use and or burn. Timing belt to name a few.
Why did they remove the 2.0 L?
Does the 2022 Equinox have a flat-folding front passenger seat (to put long items inside the vehicle)? I see that is in the Trax and Trailblazer, but I want a slightly larger, more powerful vehicle.
What about heated and ventilated front seats in the 2022 Equinox RS (are they both available)?
No, the Equinox does not have the flat folding seat.

dealerships make no sense. how are you going to charge someone over msrp and make them WAIT months for the car to come in? i get it if you have the cars at the dealership but you don’t do charging over msrp makes absolutely 0 sense to me.

I have a 2013 equinox LT and like all equinox four-cylinder’s after or around 100,000 miles it has a massive oil consumption. Has the problem been fixed or after so many miles it will start leaking or burning oil like it has in the past

Can you option to not have a panoramic sunroof
Yes. I just purchased a ‘22 Equinox RS, no sunroof. It’s Silver Ice Metallic with black interior. I love the black exterior trim with the silver body. Sharp. And it doesn’t show dirt as much as the dark blue LT I traded in.

Hey Dave, I just purchased my 2019 Equinox LT FWD 1.5 which just came off a 39 month lease with the roof-racks, panaramic sunroof, heated seats, and steering wheel and the larger touchscreen. Even though the 1.5 has plenty of power why did GM get rid of the 2.0 ? Atleast have it available in the Premier and the RS. I'm sorry but its a bit of a headscratcher.
I agree, we are not too sure why they got rid of the 2.0.... maybe just lack of sales.

I haven't heard anything about them bringing it back.. I feel GM will focus more on the Equinox EV as the more powerful option in 2023

It looks better than the previous model, but I see why Toyota sells more Rav 4 models for the money.
Just bought mine today. Almost identical to this one in the video. It was not my first car choice. However, I am happy with my decision to scrap my long-awaited Volkswagen ID4. This will hopefully allow me to get what I need and try to afford the gas for these crazy times. I appreciate the look of this vehicle and hope that it will serve my family well.

No. I also thought so based on a video. But I think that video was from 2021, when they were originally doing the facelift. They were doing it with the 2.0.

Why on earth does this have the 6 speed automatic while the Terrain has the 9 speed??
Just an fyi, android auto and CarPlay is wireless as well. Don’t need to plug in a cord.
Once you go 2.0L the 1.5L just seems anemic. The 2022 needs that 2.0 back !
In our country,China , the RS vision is available only in 2.0T engine.

I wonder if I can swap that Airbag out with the blackbowtie into my 2019 Volt... that's the one thing they missed with the Blackout package in my car.
Just picked mine up this week in the new blue RS . Love it , live in the mountains it's a tank in the snow! Blue with black & red trim is so sharp. Thrilled ! Great job Chevy!
My brother just bought the blazer nicely loaded rs with the 3.6 engine same price , might as well get this bigger with bigger engine .
Hey Dave, the Equinox has wireless Apple CarPlay. So you don’t need to plug it in if you don’t want to.

Wish you had a Traverse RS reviewed (2022) and maybe compare with the Premier redline package which doesn’t seem to have the lower portion in matching body color

just got my 22 Equinox RS a few weeks. ago. I went with Iron Gray Metallic and it really compliments the android painted wheel as my sales guy really noticed it as well. I have the AWD model and no complaints as I'm closing in on a month of it. I'm really enjoying driving and the interior finishes and the black chrome trim inside and out. Coming from a 2018 LS to this trim level is quite the upgrade.

I like the looks of it, and overall it seems ok, but a few questions, 1) Do They offer tow packages on them anymore? 2) So only the Premier line actually has working heated seats from the start? 3) And that 6 months is not guaranteed so who's to say they decide to NOT fix the heated seats and leave you S.O.L?
The tow package requires the 2.0L and awd combo. Since the only engine offered is the 1.5L in the 2022 that option no longer exists.

@@shawn_r_schultzfishing4883 on its own its a great vehicle, just slower. Chevy has merely moved the 2.0 to higher cost vehicles like the blazer as a base engine and the V6 as optional on same. I guess just simplifying the fleet options. In a few years it will be moot as electrics slowly take over. I also own a Chevy Bolt. Most reliable car i've ever owned. plus i'll get a new battery and 100k warranty to go with it as well due to recall. I recommend saving up for a Nox' EV as it should hit the market in a few years. My other car is an 18 Nox Premiere 2.0L with AWD. love it lots! just dont drive as much with gas prices and the Bolt is 1/6 the cost to operate with my long commute.

I would only buy an RS model.... Whether it's an Equinox, Tahoe, Blazer etc. I love the sporty blacked-out appearance pkg.

We just got ours 1st week of January and we love it. Chevy always have our ❤, we're still learning to do stuffs about this car. Lots of features that is super new to us especially we have dodge caliber 2009 before this.

only on the premier it has the projector which is strange but atleast you get led on all trims
I picked one up 3 months ago. Cherry tint, love at first site. Great overview, just 2 things. The apple car play is wireless. Just need to plug in the first time. And yes, back seats do recline slightly.

I was hoping you would do the 2022 Equinox! I am HAPPY the option to turn off the auto stop is available. I have a 2018 Malibu that I am wanting to upgrade. I HATE THE AUTO STOP!!!!!

First time I have heard that a customer can come back and get the tech parts installed (at no charge?) when they are available to get things like heated/ventilated seats to function as intended. The programmable rear hatch is very cool!
Yea, this is a new issue with heated/ventilated seats as well as heated steering wheels. They were going to eliminate the options all together due to the chip shortage but instead came up with a way to have the modules installed when they get them in about 6 months and yes at no cost to the customer 👍
I went to my local Chevy dealer last week because the lease on my 2019 Equinox is ending next month. Couldn't get a straight answer on when more Equinoxs were coming in or how much I would be able to lease it for, so I decided to buy out the lease. Would of rather leased this instead.
It's been real tough with Equinox. This RS and two Premiers we recently got in have been the first equinox's at the dealership in months. These were all pre-sold. I won't have any available Equinox until mid January

I have a 2019 LT. The auto/stop can be deactivated easily. Instead of pulling the shifter to "D", pull it all the way back to "L", then toggle the + button on top of the shifter 5 times. Your DIC will show you are in "L" and sixth gear. You can take off and the car will drive and shift normally. When you park you must repeat the process, but it only takes a couple seconds.
i agree i do the same. but what also makes the equinox faster. is a kn drop in the box filter save gas and frees up front end of turbo to prolong turbo life and adds hp. and a resonaotor delte. replaced with straight pipe. does not void warranty. makes turbo spool faster. frees up pressure on rear end of turbo prolonging turbo life adss hp and saves more on fuel. and u can her the deiver valve blow off vale real good i have the 2019 redline 2.0 with 252 hp and apexi ni muffler. had it dynoed at 282 hp now ready for the trifecta tune will add another 52 hp. i had a 2018 with the 1.5 with same mods and it screamed. now the redline crushes it with hp.

Dual exhausts would of looked great. But no turbo for 2022.
It does have a turbo. It’s a 1.5 liter turbo. The 2.0 liter turbo is not available.

I noticed on my window stick of my new trail boss that the 6.2L option was $3,800ish but on other Trail Boss's it's a $2500 option because it doesn't have DFM. That's a huge markup just for DFM ! Ouch. But I guess that's the times we live in now.
I bet the door handles are still chrome for safety. Easier to see in an emergency. It doesn’t blend in

This 22 RS model has more features than my 20 Equinox midnight edition 2.0l and it's 1,000 cheaper
We would of got another equinox if the engine
had been able to be upgraded to a V6. So instead we spent the extra money and got the blazer RS.
If all this car has is a1.5 ltr 4 with 170 HP! That's not good enough for the price point.
If I was in the Market I'd go back to a Pick up Truck.
Chevy did a great job with the Equinox RS. As always a great job on the video.
37K for a 4 cylinder, what a rip off.
An RS with only a 1.5L engine (which is already kinda laggy on the Equinox) just doesn't have the get up and go I would expect on a sports edition of a vehicle. I feel GM should have waited until the replacement 2.0L was ready and launch the RS at that point. It's a lot of money for only shiny things but no engine substance. I have the 2.0 and test drove the 1.5; there's no comparison in acceleration power and tow power, nor with a vehicle of four adults in it.
Nice looking vehicle and I don’t think the price is all that bad especially considering the current market. That was also me asking about the interior room in the Equinox in the previous video lol

From engineering perspective I don't understand the electronics re-fitting , looks weird , as those feature don't seem to requires complex electronics ( compared to the infotainment system ) might reason why here in Israel this modal will be available only by Spring 2022 …. most likely will be overpriced as all cars sold here .( there is 80% custom and on top 17% sales tax . ) also must admin this mid cycle refresh is minimal , came one year late , and basically covered only a bumper and lights change .
