these videos really motivate me to actually go to college/university. im a junior in HS and all i want to do is go to the beach, and just have fun with life. i feel like college really restricts that, but seeing this gives me hope

maria fernanda amory Ahahaha it’s just an East Coast mind set. I went to a California style high school in New Jersey. When it snowed we had to walk outside in between classes...made no sense!
And if you come to college in Colorado you’ll go skiing, snowboarding, white water rafting, rock climbing, spelunking, kayaking, fly fishing, floating, mountain biking, camping, x-country skiing, snowshoeing, and going to X-Games. All things I enjoy in college, some for the first time.

I've been sooo obsessed with UCSB lately!! Seems like the dream school!! Just one question do you live off campus?? You seem so close to the water
Pretty much anywhere off and on campus is close to the water here at ucsb
almost the entirety of Isla Vista is about 8 blocks from the beach or less, it's pretty sweet
Ended up here when I saw UCSB.

My last few months at UCSB were kind of sad. IV had been my home for 5 years and it was difficult to leave it all behind, though I'm glad I was able to experience it. Some of the best days of my life were spent there. 1980-85 BA Biological Science

i went to ucsb for a field trip it was so fun we went into the chem lab and them we just went into seprerate groups and explored and i loved the quiet floor but me and my friends started laughing and breathing really hard cause it was an exercice

Music taste is top notch
Surfing is a personal philosophy requiring rugged determination just to learn and keep at it. But surfers aren't whiny.. it takes a sunny optimism to face the morning chill, long paddles and waves on your head, but after a couple good slides you're fulfilled in ways hard to match, at one with your body and the planet. You look around at the darkly grumpy "realists" who are either envious or think you're an airhead (or both) and come to realize how much of reality is about getting what you give.
