    Aluminum is cheaper than copper.
    Aluminum weight is lower than copper (near half weight), this will lower the cost of mechanical supports that will support our overhead conductors.
    So as you can see the main reason for using aluminum over copper is the initial cost.

    Aluminum wire is generally easier to use than copper because it's lighter and more malleable, making it an ideal wiring material to use over long distances.

    We use aluminium as a electricity wire instead of copper because copper is a very good conductor of electricity as compare to aluminium so, sometime what happened that in wire some large amunt of electricity were come so , if we use aluminium wire then it started showing some defects in order to stop that electricity but copper will never do that it let it come even large amount of electricity . so that's why . And also there is some chances of loss of electricity in copper wire as compare to aluminium wire.

    aluminium wires are mostly used for electricity supply because aluminium is more available than copper and hence the price of copper is higher rather than aluminium which is cheaper in price. And hence for lower costing of wires, aluminium wires are used.

  • @chargeboygaming1134
    @chargeboygaming1134 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sir at 9:54 you asked that why copper wire is used SO the copper wire is used insted of aluminium because copper have low melting point
    e.g. if electricity voltage increase above 220 V so copper wire melts and if we put aluminium wire if temprature rise then aluminium wire will not melt because it's melting point is high then home appliances will burns or blast, because of this reason aluminium wire is not used in homeappliance

    • @AmplifyLearning
      @AmplifyLearning  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That may be a reason, but simple reason is.. earlier in India people used to theft the wire.. cut it out and sell it.
      That why instead of copper now aluminium wires are used which are cheaper.
      In hope appliance copper is used, as copper is better conducter than aluminium.

    I think it is because of specific heat capacity of aluminium which is more than copper and they both are almost same valuable than other good conductors of electricity, we doesn't use iron because resistivity bohot zyada hoti hai uski and gold(Au) and sliver(Ag) bohot malleable hot hain isi liye vo TV and mobile devices me bhi bohot specific resistive parts me use hote hain aur vo bhi alloy milake hi..
    Ok so peace out ba byy
