What courage this lady had...through it all she managed to joke about her failing health while still making us smile with her beautiful voice...RIP Miss Jean
Jean Shepherd kept her beautiful strong country voice to the end. I’m so glad we were able to see her perform at the Opry a few years before she passed away.

when i was a kid i went to church with her sister Naomi.She used to live where i live.Visalia,Ca. she gave me an autographed picture,her sister moved around the corner from us i was riding my bicycle and she came out and gave me a picture,i was about ten years old.
For flat out singing, tone, key, pitch, everything, she'll never be beat!! Today's country couldn't tie her shoe laces!! Today's Country is a spit in the face of all of the greats like Jean Sheppard! This is the first I've seen this video. Don't know how I missed it, but so grateful that it was posted! To of my favorites, Jean Sheppard and Eddie Stubbs! And cudos as well to Mr Jimmy and Ms Michelle! To greats in their own right! And they won't let Michelle sing in the Opry!?!? For the shame of it all!!
