Metro-North Railroad "IC 2020" ENSCO Inspection Car @ Stamford

During the night of November 16th, 2023, Metro-North Railroad's new self-propelled Engineering Inspection Vehicle, "IC 2020", heads east up track 4 at Stamford station while performing track geometry inspections on the New Haven Line in Connecticut. The IC 2020 was commissioned by Metro-North in 2016 and completed by ENSCO Incorporated in 2020. It features the latest laser, optical and inertial sensor systems to analyze the condition of the rail, track and catenary infrastructure, alerting onboard Metro-North engineering specialists to any track anomalies.
