Prince is just amazing to watch. Going from guitar to dancing to playing the drums. It just shows how gifted and talented he was. Love me some Prince.
About the drummer standing up. This song revolved around the beat coming from the LinnDrum drum computer, which Prince was very well known for using, drummer Bobby Z just added tom breaks and cymbal splashes during the performance.
In fact, when the LinnDrum was first bought in, Bobby Z was quoted as saying "So what am I supposed to do then?" But Prince assured him that he would get used to the device. Which, as we all know, he was totally right about.
Best example of the LinnDrum on a Prince song? "When doves cry"
It's Prince and the Revolution who you may know from Purple Rain. Wendy Melvin who played rhythm guitar with Prince 83-86 and Lisa Coleman who played keys for Prince 80-86 and know as Wendy & Lisa, Mark Brown aka BrownMark on bass played 81-86, Matt "Dr* Fink who played 78-90, Bobby Z Rivkin who played drums 78-86 and Eric Leeds on sax who played on and off for Prince 84-2015. This show was a one off played in Paris in 85 when he was working on Under the Cherry Moon. He and Wendy played the others guitar and according to legend this song which we only see an edited version of played for 30mins and Prince was playing and performing so hard in the heat he required oxygen and a stretcher to get off stage
About Prince and Wendy playing each other's guitars: NOPE! Prince's Hohner had a built-in wireless, which meant that it didn't need to be plugged in, Wendy's guitar DOES have a very visible lead coming from the output jack. Also, her guitar had the "Hohner Professional" logo on the headstock, identifying it as a then new 1980's made "Te Prinz" model.

As for the guitar Prince plays here, that was one of six models made by New York Luthier Roger Sadowsky, they were all made to be copies of the Hohner. This Purple one differed by having 24 frets.
