Thanks, a lot, for your question. We welcome the sincerity of our keen and erudite viewers like you. The presenter isn't a qualified Vedanta teacher. In the Vedantic tradition, it may be considered inappropriate to deliver guidance or interpretation of the Upanishads without certified training. However, in the interest of trying to learn more from our viewers, the presenter may soon consider sharing some of his modest gleanings and ideas on Mandukya Upanishad and the Karika by Adi Shankaracharya.
@@TheSpiritualWorkshopOfficial we genuinely need guidance from the heart center. Will await your videos based on your understanding of realisation of the Truth. Stay Blessed 😇 Brother 🙏 WE ARE THAT. IT'S TIME THE TRUTH SHINES.
A very good effort. Just that could you elaborate what is the lesson from the anecdote about King Janak? Pardon me for being so naive, I am trying to enter the spiritual path for the first time so it is taking time to absorb such depth
Thanks for your appreciation and kind words. We welcome your questions. The presenter of the series "Legends of Vedanta," is a historian, educator, scholar, and storyteller. Therefore, it may be premature for him to represent Vedanta as a qualified teacher or traditional monk may represent. In the Vedantic tradition, it is not considered appropriate for people with limited knowledge to exceed their intellectual or spiritual means. However, in the interest of guiding you to a qualified spiritual teacher, we can say the following. The Mandukya Upanishad broadly refers to four states of mind (waking; dreaming; deep sleep; and Turiya, the fourth or the foundational state, that is existence-consciousness-bliss). It is possible that the story told in this episode about King Janaka revolves around this teaching. But it's also possible that other positive meanings may be derived from the story. We hope you'll stay tuned for more from "Legends of Vedanta."
Actually king Janak fell asleep in his COURT .. for a while and dreamt that his kingdom was in a drought for several years… and he himself was dying to get food when he got just one roti…but a king never eats before eating… at the thought of giving in this difficult moment .. he thought of hiding under a tree facing it.. and eating the roti.. when a crow came and snatched the roti from his hand… When he woke up from the dream
Thanks, a lot, for your comment. We can confirm that this is indeed one of the true versions of the story. It is believed by monks, sages, and scholars that this story has different versions, with minor or substantial variations. It is said that the wise teach through superimposition and de-superimposition. Thus, different storytellers add little nuances into such Vedantic parables, consciously or unconsciously. Please stay tuned for more and please share it in your circles to help us grow. Thanks for listening.

Because Hanuman had asked Rama how to get moksha instantly and Rama asked him to read Mandukya Upanishad, the smallest one saying "Mandukya ekam e balam, mumukshu naam bimuktaye". In fact this Upanishad has completely changed my life after thoroughly reading it. I don't know what is moksha but it has completely changed my approach to life. I request all to read and realise its teachings.
Thanks, a lot, for sharing your experience. We endorse a reading of the Mandukya Upanishad, regardless of caste, creed, religion, race, gender, and sex. A qualified teacher can be approached for this. Please stay tuned for more and kindly share in your circle.
@@TheSpiritualWorkshopOfficialThanks, but I suggest before entering the Upanishad, one should have fairly clear idea about the basics of Vedanta like Drug Drishya Viveka and Aparikshanuvuti else the teachings of the Upanishad will not serve its purpose.
We may consider discussing your suggestion in one of our live podcasts or some forthcoming episode of "Legends of Vedanta." Our listeners matter to us and we intend to address their experience as a foundation for collective spiritual evolution.
Because Aum is synonomous with Ganesha and thus always first. Vedanta always begin with divaita, rituals etc. We are Hindus not Vedantists! Seperating Vedanta from the rest of Hindu Dharma is delusional.
