The use of synth strings made Dandy very much a child of its time - listening to the fabulous “alternate” version gives us a glimpse into what could have been had he used a strong producer - how different it would have been had TV been involved because the songs themselves were still very strong (only my opinion and probably not a popular one but there you go) 🎸🎸🎸
If only he lived three years longer all those new instruments that made average 80s songs good would have been available to him. He was about to sighn for RCA records and had looked around his old studio in my mind Viscontie would had beebn producing him again. So many 80s artists said they wanted to have been his producer if he had lived
