Along with the Sleigh Bells set, they were a refreshing change of pace from most of the indie stuff out there. Also, Bethany is freaking gorgeous! Sigh, now I really want to move to L.A. :*(

I read somewhere that compared Best Coast to Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys if Brian Wilson was a modern LA female pothead. That's actually extremely high praise for Best Coast, and a fairly accurate description of their sound.
