Vili Mäkijärvi I remember always wanting to drive The Pro's #17 (which I always thought to be The Undertaker's #77, due to that 7-shaped "1"). I would sometimes leave the game alone so it would load Demo Mode and show a race from the A.I.'s point of view :p

Commenting too late, maybe. This is 2024 and I downloaded the PC version, I wanted to relive this experience from my childhood. I don't know why, though, the cars in the PC version have a completely different color. That totally mischaracterizes the players. Maybe when they created the PC version, they might've left it in charge of a trainee to create the cars, lol. It's always been my dream to drive the CPU cars, though, and I loved watching this

I think we all have the thoughts and hopes you got to drive one of these. I hoped to unlock all the cars after completing stockcar and wrecking race mode, but it was all for nothing....
Lol the singing is horrendous, even for a low profile metal band. They did the right choice by only using the instrumentals.

Cool I love this game since i was young , I had a few questions for you:
1. Have you found a way to give the # 01 car an A.I. ?
2. Is it possible to give the Learner Driver (# 37) an better A.I, best Skums A.I. (# 13), because he is the best driver in the game, and if so can any driver in the game drive as bad as the Learner Driver # 37 make it would be so funny to see that xD Oh and I have the PAL version.

1. Apparently its not possible, as the #01 is only supposed to respond to the controller inputs, not drive by itself. What you see in demo mode is essentially a replay seen from The Pro's point of view (if you use a speed modifier, the #01 car will just drive into the walls).
2. It may be possible by messing with assembly opcodes, but I don't have much knowledge on this stuff, unfortunately.
MMRivit Although no problem is too bad that it does not work but what can you make of it. Anyway, I am very happy that people not forget game it's one of the best games what i ever played .Remember Caprio County Raceway some AI Drivers brake on the first corner and drive backwards to the wall xD. Nevertheless, I want to see win Learner Driver without my help.

The vocals version of Dead Happy doesn't play anymore on Jug's MySpace... I wish I can listen to it more and more.
Hey, writing to you 9 years later. I doubt you still have these codes, but I want to ask - do you have the PAL version of 'Get rid of #01'? The reason being is that the file doesn't contain this cheat at all, and you gave it inside the description of the video, but the PAL version is missing.

Where did you find all the songs with vocals? For example "Dead happy" is nowhere to be found

hi i use Epsxe 1.9 and i have a problem with the I.A cars they work but i have a latency of two seconds after you press a button that ca be dirrection, acceleration ect and there control the car 01 too :/ or can you borrow you codelist file of you emulatio cheat? thanks

Hello MMRivit, i often play with cpu cars ( thanks you for the gameshark codes ), when i'm driving a cpu cars, the ai seems to want take the control, then my car turn left or right by himself ! any solutions ? ( sorry for my english ! )
+Deliverance XV You mean when you hit a wall and the car just pushes itself to the opposite direction? It that's it, you just have to let go of the gas button. If that's not the case, then I honestly don't know. Many people seem to have been having issues with the codes, but they [codes] work just fine here.
I tried putting the codes into the user database on “pec” for the AI cars but when I open the iso they don’t work. In “pec” after clicking “send cheats to plugins” it just says “transferring data” and the codes don’t work, please help me anyone ;(
After I’ve pasted all the codes and the title it asks to save changes I click yes but it comes up with this (Unable to save file “C:\Program Files (x86)\psx emulation cheater\user.inf”. And then the codes don’t work at all, please help me :’’(

How many cars could you unlock normally?
+valenesco45 None. You can only normally drive three cars available from the start: Rookie (White/Red with Yellow #01), Amateur (White/Purple with Blue #01) and Pro (Yellow/Black with Blue #01).

You need a gameshark for the original playstation, you can buy them on ebay and other sites like that. You need to input the codes into that, there is no in-game way to enter such codes.

So what happened to car 01? Does it race? Is it the rookie, amateur or pro car?
DolmioTrain It doesn't race by itself, as it only responds to the player's inputs. So I used a GameShark code to lock it outside of the track. It's on the description if you're interested, under "Get rid of #01" (just remember to use the "No Damage" codes to avoid being trashed).

How did you do this please help because I really want to do play AI cars
It's only possible with GameShark codes, the link to them is in the video's description. Scroll the page a bit and you will find "Control the cpu cars", just copy and paste the codes under "Car 2", "Car 3", etc. on psx emulation cheater (if you're using an emulator) or use them with a cheat disc (if you're using real hardware, or for some reason can't use pec). Activate them, go to a race and it's done! Remember to use invincibility codes though, or the #01 car will be trashed.

Hey, I am the admin of the DD Wiki. I really want to get DD2 drivers cars' images. Is anyone with access to these cheats willing to contribute to the wiki?
A bit late I know but I managed to do it on my own using an emulator (though I wasn't able to control the CPU cars, and they kept reversing)
You can take a look at them on the wiki (e.g. Learner Driver's article), and feel free to upload your own images over them if you think it's better
