After this season is over, I hope the Broncos find a way to maximize Russ' strengths for the future. I'm rooting FOR him. Wilson took the Hawks to two SuperBowls. Hope he rebounds for you guys. I'm cool with BOTH teams getting better in the future. Russ does need to drop a small amount of weight to improve his mobility, or the Broncos need to start running more of a bootleg style of offense. Thank you Perna for the entertainment this year. I don't think any coach worth a damn is going to want to walk into that situation though, not for another year at least. They have no 1st or 2nd rounder and their skill players all suck. Sutton is a #3 on most contending teams and Javonte Williams is now a question mark aftre his major injury. Those are their biggest weapons unless Jeudy can get his drops under control. That's without even mentioning how Russ will be 35 next season and has never been a pocket-QB.
This trade was always a match made in hell. Russ relies on extending plays with scrambling and throwing deep- which are attributes that get much worse with age and his WRs are now much worse too.

Seahawk fan here, i have been banging my head for the past two years over the Russel Wilson problem which is as follows: Russ is not tall, he has trouble seeing the short middle of the field and has to throw at a steep angle to not get his passes batted down. this leads him to being specatular at deep shots, and tthrows to the sides but this has become predicatble. In the past, whenever defenses keyed in on this Russ would use his legs to punish them. However since his leg injury in 2016 Russ' running has declined every year.
The seahawks first tried to fix this problem by adding Jimmy Graham and this worked! however Russ would only look his way in the endzone and not in any other parts of the field.
Then DK metcalf enters the picture and with Tyler Locket finding good chenistry with Russ' style Pete carol and Brian Schottenheimer Min/Maxed Russ ball living and dying off the explosive play and hoping the defense could hold up. This worked to a degree but Defenses learned to take away deep balls with the shift to 2 Hi.
2021 Seahawks draft Dee eskridge! this is the last attempt to fix him, a good run blocking WR with the ability for YAC and reintroducing the Jet Sweep in the absence of Russ' legs. And when he was on the field good things happened! but he was injured for most of the season.
So my advice is to add a Big catch/blocking tight end like a noah fant or George Kittle, a WR freak like DK metcalf, and add hybrid RB/WR, Deebo or Laviska Shanult for spice. Also smaller Olinemen who are also super strong.
    Good Luck

Pat Bowlen was invested in the long term success, not just sell the future to win now. Get a tough coach who will put every player on the same level, who will change the culture here from scapegoats to personal accountability, and hope they don't mess up head coach decisions like Hackett did before he got another person to relieve him of tough decisions. This isn't a quick fix, their culture has to change and though I know a lot of people don't like Russ being a rah rah positive guy that's what we need to develop instead of this woe is me mentality the fans have had for years.
