Liebe Grüße an Dich, mein Pilger Bruder Hello my dear friend, a really very nice and interesting film. I like it very much. Because we are also on the Via Francigena and I can say the same thing as you. There are not so many pilgrims on the way. That's very nice and pleasant. However, we only started our walk in Lausanne and we only walk 200 km a year. Unfortunately we do not have that much free time. I am curious and curious about your next films. Love to you, my pilgrim brother
Great editing. Definitely notice an improvement from the Frances vlog which was already high quality. This will easily be the best Francigena vlog out there. Hope this sets you apart from other Camino vloggers out there and brings more subscribers and revenue.
I am a big fan Efren. I watched your Camino Frances videos before my Camino in 2018. I like the way you do a daily video and show the highlights of each place. Buen Camino.
@@Walk_with_Efren Thank you for the response. What are the dates of the eah of the three other caminos you did, Del Norte, Portuguese and the other one I do not remember how to spell? lol
hi George. specific dates are on the video's description but I started on the Portuguese on March 14, followed by del Norte on March 27 and finally started the Ingles on April 30 of last year.
Hi Efren, Enjoyed your first leg of the video. Those narrow little gates are called kissing gates...and designed to allow a person (often not quite as fat as me) to get through but stop cattle getting through. I always thought it was because two people close enough to be kissing could get through, but sadly, not the reason for the name!
looking forward to the longer videos. si te recuerdas, casi nos encontramos en Lucca. Estuvistes 2 o 3 dias atras de nosotros cuando hicimos la Via de Lucca a Roma.
I recently walked the path from Canterbury to Dover. Bit i found frustrating was once i arrived in Dover the signposts seemed to disapear and i didnt know the official way through the town. I asked locals who didnt seem to have a clue!
thanks. remember the day in a minute were updates from the field as I was walking to let you guys know my progress. it was never ment to be the final report of the trip. enjoy the vlogs.
You made me ready for my Camino de Santiago last May -June 2018. Your vlogs helped me a lot in my planning, expectations and surprises. You are truly an inspiration. Thank you. More pilgrimages. Congratulations 🎉🎊🍾 #Buencamino
You inspire us so much Efren and we enjoy watching your videos. This adventure me be added to our bucket list once the pandemic blows away. Stay safe! Judi
Saludos from la Sawesera, SoFlo! I enjoy watching your videos while having my café con leche in the morning! Glad to see you are posting longer videos, for your minute long ones al ways left me wanting for more. Would love to have you talk to our students @ MDC if possible, and maybe explore the possibility of a Camino tour / study abroad program in the near future. I have walked the Camino with you many times - from the comfort of my living room- since your early postings, and never loose hope I may do it for real one day. Buen camino Efrén! Very proud of our Cubanito en El Camino ! Muchas bendiciones!
jajaja good to hear Jorge. I would love to talk to your students. I graduated from MDC in 2000. as for the tour that is something that's been in the back of my mind for a while now.
Efren : glad to hear that you are a MDC alumni, since you are in film, did you attend our North Campus School of Entertainment program ?.. I would love for you to present to our students during our Fall Term, if possible. Will try to reach you with a private message through your web page. Muchos éxitos! .. excelente redacción y cinematografía ! Muchas felicidades !
Yaay, señor EG is back with his inimitable vlog report on another epic Camino. I watched the "day in a minute" vlogs of this route, so I really appreciate this slower delivery style of interesting facts and anecdotes about your trip. Maybe you'll be back in UK one day to do The Penine Way in the north of England - that will test your rain gear for sure!
Great videos Efren, I have a question about your route through France. Often you choose not to follow the Official Via Francigena route GR145. It seems your route took you point to point, a shorter distance on roads. Was that because you used a trolley and preferred being on a paved road or was it simply accommodation planning/time constraint,
Hi Judi, two reasons. one: as a US citizen I'm only allowed to stay in the Schengen zone for 90 days. I was willing to sacrifice France rather than Italy. As it turned out, due to a few double days, I made it in 85 days and spent some time exploring Rome. Two: in 2018 the official Francigena site had the GPS tracks starting closer to Switzerland and I didn't know about the GR 145 I could have downloaded those tracks. I searched online for some one who had done the trip in 90 days or less and was willing to share his files with me. The trolley was particular helpful in France due to the scarcity of pilgrim support. I truly don't think I would have made it without it. best, Efren
Did you film and edit in the same day? What was the routine? I will be cycling "Via Francigena" this summer and want to take my phone for filming and editing videos...I'm sure you've tried it before, no? Thanks
while I was in France and Switzerland o had plenty of time to edit on the same day or only be a few days behind. that all changed once I got to Italy. the minute I met other pilgrims I fell too far behind and decided to be in the moment and edit once I got back home which i did. the full lenght vlogs where all edited and I'm still editing here at home a year later.
Hello amigo. I have watched every single video. Love it. Doing camino de Santiago in 2 weeks but I also want to do via francigena for sure. How much did you spend for the whole trip? Thank you 😊😊
Thank you Massimo. I have a daily cost breakdown on the vlog's description. The camino Frances in 2017 cost me around $1,500 while the VF came close to $6k. The VF is three times longer than the camino frances.
@@Walk_with_Efren Thanks. I was looking through my guide books for the Camino Francigena and found that I already have two pilgrim passports ready for our journey. Perhaps a sign that that should be my next adventure. Hope all is well on the AT.
Hi Efren Great video! What GPS did you use? I know there's an official Via Francigena app which has a map feature, but what was the app you were using (it looked different).... and how did you load the route onto it
Hi Ollie I used Google earth pro on my phone. The app is free and can upload any GPS Tracks in different formats. The only downside is that you need a data connection for the maps to load.
@@Walk_with_Efren how was the mobile data coverage along the trail? I’m from the UK and our coverage is pretty good across most of the countryside... is it reasonable in Europe?
I wos thinking that nobady did Daily vlogs from this trip. I start in april next year and here you are:( xd at least i have something to watch right now
Been missing your videos, so I have decided to start viewing Your Via Francigena AGAIN !
I can't wait to head back to the camino in the near future
10:55 "I have a GPS so I will never be lost." - Never, ever, say that!
The one recent series I haven't watched yet. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Oh. Nice. A full size vlog for the VF like the CF. Glad you made it. Worried that you weren't going to do one.
I always keep my promises
Yay! Susan Agee here. So excited! 'Fortune cookies' and orange juice and adventures! You're the best Efren!
Nice format. I love the pic with the GPS route, you’re always looking for new ways to keep your followers impressed.
Big hug from Croatia!
Brilliant - we live in Canterbury and are also walking the VF but in stages - great to see your film of our home territory!

Watching this after the 1m ones last year. Looking forward to this!

Do you have a video of your days spent in Rome? Would love to see what you did there. Thanks for all the great videos.
No I do not but I'll do one after the camino di Francesco this summer since this is a common question.

great video

Great video as always. Why did you use a trolly?
I was carrying way too much weight. The trolley saved my but during the heatwave in France.

Wonderful trek and great videos! May I ask what months did you travel?
thank you so much Sonya. specific dates are on the video's description. I walked from July to October of 2018.
Doing the francigena in august from Lausanne. Quick question: which company did you use in Switzerland and Italy? A French Canadian
Telephone company or for wifi
At the time I was using tmobile my carrier from home but I would recommend you get a local simcard from Tim or Orange for your unlocked phone.
@@Walk_with_Efren thank you so much…. I’m my third viewing your vlog from francigena…I’m at my fourth pilgrimage
