Hey! I just posted my video of this challenge on my channel. It was so much fun to do, I loved it, and I learned a lot!! Thank you!! If you ever got the chance to check it out, that would be awesome as well, but I am sure you are crazy busy. :)
As other people are saying, this video is awesome! Love this direction of your channel lol. Ps. Someone gave me the advice with watercolor to do the opposite in application of paints: light values first, then come in with the darker
The amount of talent here is awesome. I might as well try painting after this. Watercolor seems like a nice experience since I commonly do graphite pencil ideas.
Ooh, if you ever wanna get into water color, use a palette with wells and make sort of a "chunky" soup with the paint. It's way easier to control the pigment and thickness. Idk if I explained that properly lol
I am at 4:27 as you finish the oil. The vibe of the painting reminds me of your cyclops acrylic stencil made realistic with a stylish fedora & two eyes. Niiiiiiiice!
Ooooo you got a dragon tat! How many toes? Did you know the toe count of an asian dragon has relevance to tell the country or story? Love me dragons! I collect them.
Very cool seeing the different. How about a similar video where you do 5 mediums you don't usually do? Pastel? Oil pastel? Collage? Marker? Line art with a brush pen? Pen & ink? T-shirt paint on a t-shirt? Silk screen? As always, love the video. I look forward to your Sunday uploads. Thank you.
Definitely a great way to hone your skills! I may try this when I break from my commissions. Some of those mediums I’ve not done in a very long time. ❤️
Damn SLEW, I haven't watched your videos in a few months (sorry), and I am blown away by how much better you've gotten since I last watched. You're well on your way to being an oil master. Keep it up!
I wish u had done a Copic sketch…only person I know that does it a lot is Evan burse so u can get an idea of what I’m talking about..he does these very high contrast and shadow sketches and then goes in after and does all the inking.. ..would have loved to see u try that medium along with the others
Hey SLEW I was worried when you started so dark with the watercolor! I believe you did pull it through and came out of it with a real successful portrait! This is a wonderful video and I enjoyed watching your works!
Useful exercises here to make use of different medium, exciting it is. All in all epic moment to gain a better skill to observing your way of handling each tool included here. Uhh yes long of the medium it is!!!

You should do more watercolor pieces!! I think your style in watercolor is different than your oil painting style but I like it!

You're biased towards oil because that's what you do.Someone who works with graphite/ charcoal, etc. might think otherwise
I'm in! See you on discord :)
