    This was a fun video! Blue clear water for playing in and having excitement on your beach hike. That was a pretty sand dollar you found Olivia. Drone footage was beautiful.

    I put sailing video's in 3 categories, 1. Enjoyment 2. Research 3. Sailing Seduction for wife. This checks off all three, although sharing it with the wife will have to wait as she just spent a day on a Catamaran in Hawaii and I'm waiting for her to return. For what I hear it went fantastic which is great since it will take a lot of good times to erase one absolutely horrible ferry trip in the Dry Tortugas. I've nicked named your stripped long sleeve shirt the Long John Silver. Looking forward to the continuation of the journey!

      Lol, long John silver 🤣

      @@TheFosterJourney How totally embarrassing on further research the Long John Silver character wasn't a good one. My old memory just remembered stripped shirts in the Disney Treasure Island from a very long time ago so that just kept popping into my head. On the other hand the restaurant chain does have delicious fish.

    Thanks for showing the coral. The reefs are dying at alarming rates yet it seems no one is talking about it. Over the past decade the Bahamas reefs have mostly disappeared to the bare reefs that you snorkeled. We have to do something about this!

    • @TheFosterJourney
      @TheFosterJourney  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have heard this a lot, especially cruisers who've been doing it for over a decade. We also have noticed, where there are a lot of boats and tourists, there aren't many living coral and fish 😢.

    What a fantastic adventure! Brings back some good memories of sailing the Abacos in the early 2000s. Almost makes me want another sailboat. Almost! Thanks for taking us along on your cruise.

    Great video! I went to the blog for the garlic knot recipe but it is does not say want the amount of flour/yoghurt is needed. I guess I could wing it. Just let me know and I am making them for dinner! Also -- Nancy has to do a cookbook or a blog about how she makes such great food on the the high seas.

    Were you nervous about Indian Cut at the beginning of the video?

    • @TheFosterJourney

      Yes we were. It was the first time for us being in what appeared open water knowing there were 3ft deep rocks and a narrow cut to find using the map. 🥵

    You started off with cruising from Texas to FL then up the east coast. If you could do it over, would you have skipped the upper east coast and went directly to the Bahamas?

    • @TheFosterJourney
      @TheFosterJourney  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love this question because we've spoken to many cruisers who did just that. We would definitely do the EAST COAST if we started over. There are so many lessons it taught us the Bahamas (easy sailing and paradise views) can never teach. Only thing to do differently would be leave two months earlier so we could make it all the way to Maine 💯👍🙌
