From my own personal opinion, I've not seen any 1st world country treat corrupted people any better than Malaysia does. There's just too much power behind it I feel. Whether it's UK, Australia or US, they're all in horrible state. I'm not sure about Scandinavian or African countries. But maybe comparing to Communist china is not that appropriate. Although I wish we followed the same punishment. I believe Japan also has a very strict deterrent to corruption.
