I am a 48 yt old ARMY since 2019. I became ARMY when on the 4th anniversary of my mom's passing I was feeling down and I watched the video Spring Day I was smiling and crying at the sametime. But the run bts episodes are also still available on vlive. (Edit: they will delete everything that's on vlive on 31st of December. Everything will be available on weverse)

There is more than a decade of videos on BANGTANTV, their official channel. You can, quite literally, watch them grow up. There seemed to be a camera on them 24/7, as they struggled through those early years. They really were just boys being boys, not always so pretty, but endearing AF. They allowed you to be a part of their own journey, right beside them, and I believe this is why their bond with ARMY became so strong.
This video is the best! But I just want to point out that even tho it's "accurate as of May 2022" It's still not updated because with BTS you basically can't have an updated version for a long time. If you want an accurate update of BTS you would have to add another 5 Minutes every other week because they are working so much that they achieve something new every other week. For example as of May till now, they again released multiple solo albums, other projects, won many awards and broke records.
Award Update: as of Dec 2022, BTS hold the record of the 4th most awarded artist in the world with +800 awards
And they definitely don't share the common definition of "taking a break". 😆 We never have a more hectic time as ARMYs than when they "take a break". That's when they release solo projects, go live often, release new Run BTS episodes,..... 😵

*They've been living together since 2011/2012 and only officially announced moving apart and get their own place last summer, so they basically lived together for 10 years!
*Fyi Vlive is actually closing now but everything migrated to Weverse!

Also Run BTS is now available on TH-cam too the show took a rest few months ago and now they post new episodes every once in a while.

Only 25% of ARMYS is under 20 years-old. The great majority is between late 20’s and go to above 50’s. I am a 58 years-old ARMY. BTS’s message, lyrics, the different genres , the quality of their music, MV , attract us. You must remember that we are the generation who went through the disco era , MJ era and the MTV when it used to be only about music. They remind us of what artistry in music was. Good music. 😂 You said KIM … Just to let you know and keep in mind their SURNAMES come first and FIRSTNAMES come last, for example KIM NAM-JOON = NAMJOON KIM and so on. *RM is his stage name, which essentially stands for ‘REAL ME’; but it could also be short for Rap Monster (RapMon) which he grew out of being Rap Monster awhile back. So, it is just RM.

This is why I think all reactors should watch The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS Updated 2022 because it gives more content on how they started and why they had hardships and looks at them more as a group. Taylor’s video is good but misses details that are important. And it's narrated in English so not much reading to do there.
The only way to not miss details is Rise of Bangtan. Taylor's guide is member-focused (which is specified in her title) while Most Beautiful Moment in Life is more group history centric. You have to watch all of them to get all the things, there's no wrong way to go about learning a group that debuted nearly 10 years ago, as long as you're willing to keep learning 💜

I have a feeling that the more videos of music but especially of just the guys having fun together on RUN BTS, IN THE SOOP, BON VOYAGE, interviews and documentaries about them. You come for the music but stay for the boys themselves. BTS and ARMY are a family and we ARMY don’t just support the boys but also each other. I enjoyed your reaction. I’m 67 yo grandmother and Army since 2015 after my granddaughter introduced me. Best thing that happened to me. Helped me love myself and find joy watching them. I belly-laughed for the first time in a long time while watching their Run BTS episodes.
Thank you for putting so much dedication into learning about BTS and ARMY and being so so wholesome and genuine. ARMY is so dedicated and vast because our story always began with some way BTS saved our lives. You find them when you need them. That's why we are so deep. It's not just their intense talents. It's a true parasocial relationship because the love is truly both ways. Our connections are so strong. All of those records, especially Billboard, are so special because most artists have major radio play and use what are called bundles where if you buy merch it comes with a free albums download. So it expands their records a lot. BTS doesn't have radio support and don't bundle. Their records were achieved SOLELY by the organization and power of ARMY streaming and buying physical copies of their albums. So our pure sales are INSANE. It gives us so much pride to lift them higher and higher. As RM raps in Mic Drop, "once upon a time, we learned how to fly", it is a reference to the wings they say ARMY gave them. It's so beautiful. We are here for life. And the age statistics are so cool. Most people believe our fanbase are mainly young girls (which is honestly unfair to the power and intelligence of those young women), but we have a hugely diverse age range of over 60% above age 20-70 years old.
When we achieve new records or collaborate with other artists, we like to celebrate by contributing to charities. Halsey speaks a lot about it and talk show hosts have said, imagine if every fanbase did that by contributing to the good of the world.
And for views, it's kind of funny too to celebrate and also get some payback if BTS get slighted. We like to re-enter songs on Billboard. For BTS' 7th anniversary, we streamed their first album and re-entered it as #1 on Spotify and it reached records on Billboard that it didn't achieve at the time it was released. We also like to go back to older videos on TH-cam and create new records. It's funny. The dedication and creativity of ARMY is endless. Anyway. You're really wholesome and welcome to ARMY. We purple you. 💜

I'm 58 and Army, I found the guys in 2019 in a very dark time... That rapper who talked smack to RM and Suga, yeah he went to prison..they are some of the most humble talented gifted artist and young men the world has to offer💜 The vlives are so much fun.. RM just comes and hangs out with us
Yoongi comes and usually gives us such uplifting words J-Hope usually dances for us Jin cooks and eats with us
JK takes song requests and gives us a mini show
V does so many different things, usually sings or play games
Jimin builds arts n crafts with us
RM is a lyrical genius, especially the way he uses wordplay even between languages, composing using different beats flows rhythms.. He's also the only one who does not have a driver's license
Yoongi is my bias and I love how he's so savage.. He seems like a very cold and distant person but he's very caring and loving
J-Hope is a phenomenal dancer and just recently headlined at Lollapalooza.. Hobi is the sunshine of the group, he's a beautiful smart creative man
Jin was cast on the street getting off the bus that's true, it has happened twice to him... He did not sing or dance at all before he became a trainee.. Jin used to pack lunches for the younger members and drive n pick them up from school each day.
Jungkook was only 13/14 when he joined as a trainee, he loves his brothers and Army so very much, loves to take risks, he's pitch perfect and talented in so many things. He's called the "golden maknae"because he's just good at everything he does🤷
V was hidden because the company feared he would be approached by other companies because of his striking good looks.V's voice is like a river of melted chocolate and his vocal range is amazing. He loves jazz and he feels like an old soul to me. He's very funny and spontaneous.
Jimin is pure perfection when he dances, the feelings and emotions he's able to protray is amazing. He also had the shortest time as a trainee, around 7 months only.

I like how very genuinely you react to our guys. As you can tell, this fandom is different from most. BTS loves us and we love them. It's that simple. Mutual love and respect. Most ARMY have stories about how BTS came into their lives when they needed them and basically"saved" them. I'm one of those. They really did change my life and turned me into a better, happier person. And that gets passed on. To my two kids. To the 300+ students I have interacted with since I became ARMY. They've changed many lives for real.

They still post behind the sceens and their variety show you can find posted on their own TH-cam channel, bangtantv. There is about 170 episodes they use to be on vlive but they just moved them all to TH-cam.

I'm almost 66 years old and BTS ARMY for 9 years. Before I found BTS I was listening Jazz and never listened rap. BTS changed my life and they gave me great energy.
I think the main reason why BTS and Army is so close is because like mentioned in the video, BTS started out small and faced a lot of hatred and they still face it. But BTS helped many Armys to be confident and love themselves, that’s why we’re automatically so protective over them because people be hating on them without knowing what they’ve been through. Also in one interview Jimin himself said that without Armys their success wouldn’t be possible and he said that he thinks he has to be automatically grateful to his fans. So the bond between Armys is so strong because BTS and Army support each other and protect each other. You know, some artist just pretend to love their fans or they don’t care for them at all, but with BTS you just know It’s genuine💜thank you for your reaction and I hope I can welcome you to the world of Army💜

The guide is great, but of course Taylor couldn’t include some important information like, the creator of BTS Bang Si-Hyuk is an award winning producer. He noticed J-Hope had an exceptional way of feeling the beat, Bang suggested he think about rapping. Here’s the difference, I heard famous K-pop idol Jackson Wang of GOT7 say he was told he would be a rapper without real consideration for any singing talent. J-Hope was encouraged to explore rapping. J-Hope also quit the group. RM convinced Bang they needed J-Hope then RM visited JH and convinced him to come back.

Since it's V's birthday week, folks would love it if you'd focus on him for a while - it's kind of a tradition to recognize their birthdays with extra attention & love of whatever kind. He has solos that are amazing (Singularity and Stigma) and songs of his own (Winter Bear). And others! Those could just get you going.

I'm a 45-year-old man and I'm almost as proud of these boys as I am of my own sons. You said several times "they're just so wholesome" and that's it - they really, really are. They mean what they say, they love each other, they love us, they love humanity. And they make art about it.
To answer one of your questions, they have a ton of content out there. The official channel actually just started releasing Run BTS (the variety show, not the song) on TH-cam. Watching that is a great way to get to know them over the years and see what they're like. There's also a lot of behind the scenes content released as Bangtan Bombs.

BTSs music really gets people of all ages and nationalities and the fandom is ridiculously diverse. I’m late 40s and never listened to much pop before this. Jin was so mad at us for taking ten free song he gifted us on his birthday last year and turning it into a huge viral challenge. He asked us (jokingly) to pleaser stop but Army can’t be held back it got I think 1 billion hits for the Supertuna hashtag on TikToc alone. We love the dumb unserious fish song because Jin wrote it and shared it just to make us laugh. Their messages and personalities are truly genuine and unique. Welcome baby Army, hope you discover a lot of new music in the new year!

Turning 60 soon. Young Army. Tae Tae bias. Love them all. Made my life happier, listen to them morning noon and night, laugh all day at their antics..I would suggest that if you are learning about BTS, to stop the video react or comment than continue watching. Many reactors jump onto the BTS bandwagon and don't really watch the documentary.

68yo here from Australia. Have been ARMY SINCE 2017 my 25 yo granddaughter introduced me to them and we have travelled overseas to go to some concerts together. We have become so close because of BTS.
Just a heads up Vlive is no more BUT they just uploaded all Run eps on the bts youtube channel (BANGTANTV)… they’re still updating all the subtitles tho. All the run bts eps & lives are on Weverse (including all old ones) & you can catch new lives when the guys go on. They add subtitles after a few days. Thanks for reacting!

BTS was very talented even in the very beginning. The BIG3 tried to do everything to make sure BTS didn't get the opportunities to be successful. Big Hit was so tiny and didn't have any money or Clout to get tv shows or promotions for BTS. The BIG3 back in the day did everything to distance themselves from BTS but NOW, if BTS wears Pink, all the groups wear Pink. If BTS writes a song about Loving yourself, they all have songs written about Lovin' themselves. BTS does a variety show, Now, other groups do variety shows. BTS did a reality show, then other groups did a reality show. They follow BTS' blueprint. They are all trying to be BTS. Back in the day, when the BIG3 and their fan clubs had control of the entertainment business in S. Korea Other KPOP fans used to push around the ARMY. They even told ARMY, that we were kick out of KPOP.
Their first big one where they received American awards to add to all their other awards.

I think you’ll especially enjoy watching the Run BTS episodes because they are really funny. Sending good vibes to you from one of the Silver Army. HYBE officially bought out Vlive, so as of Dec 31 Vlive will no longer a thing. All their episodes of Run BTS are now on TH-cam. Hopefully all of their old vlives will be available soon on Weverse.

They all lived together since 2010 but this year they moved and all have their own houses. They really love Armys and say they are only doing music and all of this for us. In Korea you're an artist for the time of your contract (mostly 7 years) recently they resigned it again. Also right now they have to go to the military because it's mandatory in Korea so the oldest member Jin already went and the other will go according to their own plan and they will be together as a group in 2025. But we have a lot of content since they do a lot of variety shows and now each of them is relasing their own albums. A lot of new collabs and many behind the scenes etc.
Also please check out a great documentary on bts and how they formed, it has many chapters but I personally think the first one is the most important so you can watch that and then decide if you want to watch more. It's called THE RISE OF BANGTAN CHAPTER 1

Unfortunately, the creator of the Rise of Bangtan series has deleted all the videos. She commented last week that she was not able to finish the series due to changes in her life and in her work. All of the content has now been removed from her channel.
I think the vlive app doesn't work anymore but you can find all the content that was there in Weverse now and all the episodes of reality show 'Run BTS' were recently posted on TH-cam too. BTS is the perfect storm. The right music company BigHit, right creator Bang who believed in healing through music, creative freedom and he wanted to create a group the youth could lookup to,
right producer PDogg who is the producer who taught them how to develop music concepts and their vocal dexterity, right choreographer who is their performance director and the right timing.
Everything against them ultimately benefited them. The company was too poor to pay for tv air time to get exposure, so they utilized social media. Bang allowed them to go on social media only if they promised to be authentic. Their “realness” about their struggles made them relatable to those who watched the videos. It built a connection before they debuted in 6/2013. They had supporters before they ever step foot on a stage. Global supporters. Their debut was an accident. Some group scheduled to appear on a music show backed out and a group was needed to appear at the last minute.

I am 65 yrs old Army since 2017. I've seen 92 yrs old grandpa and 82 yrs old couple Armys at the LA concert. A lot more than 50% of Armys are older than 30 and from all over the world.

All BTS videos are on BANGTANTV channel and all their official music videos are on HYBE official channel. Unfortunately, Vlive no longer runs as an app and most of the show RUN BTS have been transferred to bangtantv just a few days ago as a Christmas present ^^. I believe there is a channel which uploads the members individual lives which you can watch with subs on yt. Most of their paid content like Bon Voyage and In the SOOP is on their own app called Weverse.

They used to live together until very recently. Little by little news spread out that they all started buying houses and apartments. Last summer they announced that their apartment lease was coming to an end and they decided to live separately for the first time since they became BTS.

If you want to react to episodes, I'd recommend watching them on BangtanTV instead of Weverse, you'd be less likely to get in trouble 💜

10:09 Im not sure why it was left out, but RM learned english from his teenage years watching sitcom “Friends” which is why is still known as the only one fluent in english and he has taught the rest of them and JHOPE jumps in to share the responsibility with RM in teaching english speaking as well. *All the members can speak decent amount of english to hold conversions as well as sing and rap in english too.*

loved the reaction!! i just wanna correct something at 25:55 you mentioned how each member has fans then the group has fans together thats not true. bts fans love ALL of the members and we support ALL of them solo and group they dont have solo fans or fans of just them. bts do not want fans who dont like the other members theyve said this. they still call their fans army even when they do solo performances or release solo music they do not have solo fandoms.

@@SxpremeQuan its okay its normal for new people to assume that cause its a normal thing in western boyband fandoms and even kpop groups. but bts specifically dont do that/ dont want that. its also because solo stans usually hate on the other members of a group and bts are basically brothers so they dont want fans who disrespect their brothers.
@@SxpremeQuan in addition to this or maybe to add my opinion, Solo fans existed even though they are a group, it's the same to ALL music group. Some people just like 1 or 2 members and that's it. I even saw fans creating "solo fandom names" for their faves BUT BTS still calls them ARMY. even in their solo projects and songs they always shout for ARMY and no other "solo fandom name". They don't recognize any other name but ARMY. BTS are the ones who name their fandom and it will stay that way forever.

5:32 Yes BTS did start from the bottom up to where they are now but many still tend to get confused when they see that scene, it was part of their episode 8 finale of mini-series of #BTSAmericanHustleLife that they filmed (2014) in LA, California. That specific scene is during a mission of learning how to ‘self-promote’ as well as learned a few things from western known artists coolio and warren g along with gospel singer within that episode before they performed their at their own mini concert at the end of the show where they did “no more dream” and “we are bulletproof pt2” as well as did a small ending encore showing off what they learned during the episode.
