I'm 85 years old and I found BTS and ARMY a little over 3 years ago when I was very lonely and depressed. It was during the pandemic and I was facing health problems. They were such a blessing. Now when I hear someone else found them just when they need them, too, I'm very happy. I think you'll enjoy being in the rabbit hole with us. My daughter and granddaughters are also ARMYs, so they're loved by all ages. 💜💜💜

A lot of people, myself included firmly believe that a lot of us find BTS when we need to, when we need them. Their songs have gotten, and continue to get me through some very hard and at times dark areas of life. Army is amazing as is BTS, the lyrics and the songs written specifically for Army. Check out the live version of Magic Shop, make sure captions are on. 💜💜

Thank you for this reaction. I am English, 75 yrs old, and BTS “found” me almost four years ago after my husband of 50 yrs passed away. They saved my sanity and I will love and support then forever. I will gladly accompany you on your journey down the rabbit hole.💜💜 p.s you have a lovely, kind smile and I will look for it in the future 💜

Hi dear. 68yo Army here. And just like every other Army I've seen dozens and dozens of reactors react to this guide..and I just have to say that you have a real connection with the camera. Your warmth and sincereity really comes through. It was a joy to watch that with you and I can't wait for you to come back with more BTS reactions.

Hi 59 year old UK army here. You found BTS so it's the right time for you. I hope you find happiness as you fall deeper down the BTS rabbit hole. I discovered BTS at the start of the pandemic and I can't express enough how much I admire and respect them. They went through so much to be where they are now so they did not have things easy. You may be interested to watch excelestes videos this is BTS an introduction and Who is the BTS ARMY, the Hardships one broke my heart. The arrow in the still image is pointing to Jimin, he's the only member who is a classically trained dancer and was top student he also learned popping and locking and is also a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master having studied it for 8 years. He incorporates many of his classical dance and martial arts moves into their performances so their stages are always magic. He has a very unique voice and he's so kind, charming and beautiful. All 7 are very kind, charming and beautiful but something about Jimin draws you in.

Yes please watch it again. Thanks for being transparent too and sharing that you have bipolar. I think you will be into Suga's songs. You can start with Daechwita, then Haegeum, and finish it off with Amygdala (there's a trigger warning tho for amygdala, so only watch it if you feel ok).
Thanks for appreciating our tannies and for being respectful. As an ARMY, I would like to see your journey and being immersive in all things BTS. Therefore, subscribed! 💜

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our amazing, talented, kindhearted, incredibly humble young men. The further you dive into their music you’ll understand even more why their music touches the hearts of so many people of all ages. It’s no exaggeration to say that ARMY loves these guys just as much (if not more) for who they are as people as much as we love their music. As others here said, I hope you find some inner peace through BTS’ music. They’ve certainly helped me through some very dark times. Enjoy your journey! Subscribed.

You seem like a great thoughtful open minded guy, thanks for your reactions. If you liked this guide video, you'll like the Rise of Bangtan docu-series even better. It shows very in-depth about their journey in chronological order. The 1st chapter covers their pre-debut trainee years until the release of their 1st music video No More Dream. So you can watch their music vids first, then watch RoB chapters. In that way, you can go through their discography in chronological order too, alongside watching RoB chapters. Highly recommend full album listening though, as they have a lot of B-side gems that are even more popular than title tracks sometimes.

I appreciate you too, for being so respectful to BTS. BTS Army are not like other groups fans, we will happily sit through long videos with reactors who want to learn about or listen to our beloved BTS, and no doubt you will come to think of yourself as Army soon too.
I dont know if you have noticed, but the Big Hit logo for early tracks reads MUSIC AND ARTISTS FOR HEALING. Many fans feel uplifted or just soothed by their songs, or encouraged to keep trying. 💜💜💜💜
You might like to listen to a medley of songs they performed for their anniversary Festa Room Live 2021.

Jin’s voice is very captivating. He’s my bias for so many reasons although I love all the members so much. His voice has a way of touching your soul and giving you the chills. The fact that he was scouted for BTS purely for his looks and had to learn to sing and dance in his late teens is astounding. Such a talented and hardworking man. The other members said he’d stay later at the studio to practice hard and catch up. As the oldest member, he also used to take the younger kids to school. Pack and cook their lunches. The older members of BTS brought up the younger members and are closer than most families.

I have no doubt you will find many, many words and lines of comfort in their songs, or expressions of who they are and their personalities in interviews or performances or concerts or their variety show Run BTS or or or. Every person's journey into BTS is unique and there's no right or wrong way to delve into them - go where you feel pulled! If it's music, there's a ton of albums and songs, and solo projects, across all genres. If it's performances or concerts there's a variety of those as well. If it's learning more about them, there's the interviews (American/UK and other) and variety shows they've done. Welcome to BTS finding you, you've got a plethora of people who have been on a similar path as you before or will root for and support you no matter where you're at.

Thank you for sharing your struggles. PTSD here, and a close family member is bipolar. You’re not alone. Suga & RM in particular have been open about their mental health struggles and the lyrics they write are very insightful. There are entire BTS albums revolving around psychological concepts/theories and aspects of loving oneself. Zero O’Clock, Epiphany, Answer: Love Myself, ON and Magic Shop are all wonderful songs.

    @beccal.5369 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Welcome to the wild world of BTS and the army family💜Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people used to count age differently to others...
Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust.
So, The members were only 13-18 years old when they became trainees and 15-20 yo when they debuted.
In Korea when you were born you were considered 1 year old. Then on Korean new year every year you added another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. ....
Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee)
    Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo)
    Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) Suga started with MIDI at 11
    JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)JHope started dancing at 8
RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13
    Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo)
    V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo)
    JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) JK signed with big hit at 13yo
Rule of thumb for older videos - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age.
    EG: TaeHyung (V) born 30 Dec 1995 ...... current International Age 27 (Korean Age 29). ... 2 years difference
So Tae born 30 Dec 95 is 1 year old, then on 01 Jan 96 he is 1 more year older (so they would say he is 2 years old, when we would say he is 2 days old.)
So he was considered 29 in Korea since 01 January, we would say he is 27 turning 28 in Dec.
It's a different way of looking at age, from new years day - Tae is living his 29th year (since conception) - instead of - he turned 27 (since birth)....
The Korean Government has recently (June28) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age.
💜Have a great day... sending greetings from Australia.

They have helped a lot of people through their music, their variety shows (really funny...you should watch some if you need some laughs...they are called "RUN BTS" and their are 155 episodes, plus a few "Special Epiodes" from 2022. They start out short and then later ones end up being about an hour each. Take care of yourself. There are a lot of people suffering from various things - both mental and physical. All of a sudden you will feel something is changing in your life. You will be smiling and have a new positive attitude about yourself. You will see a new path opening up in front of you that you never new was there. These are some of the benefits of becoming a fan of BTS, we all started with the thought of how could it possibly be true, that a group of guys from another country, singing in another language, have a major impact on me. If you take a chance and deep dive into the lyrics and their attitude to love and life, you will see a change in your beliefs about yourself and the world.
People start to react to BTS for many reasons, but if your reasons involve becoming a better person, you will find the way to that goal. I enjoyed your reaction and l believe you are sincere so l will subscribe to watch your journey. Welcome 💜

You are what you consume and it’s good but also music and media. BTS is filling and wholesome but not empty calories like most “pop music”. They’ve saved so many lives by helping those who need a real hand. I t sounds like you found them when you need them. Our 7 chaotic weirdos are the best, and funniest guys you can dive into. Enjoy the journey! 💜💜💜. Borahae.

Great reaction. I will watch you watch this again. Jungkooks age was actually a year younger as Koreans at the time this was made calculated age differently. You are one at birth. They have now changed that so everybody in Korea is now a year younger. This is yhe only guide that actually shows the breadth of their efforts to learn everything and excel at everything, influencing each other, creating the synergy behind the hothouse that made their success possible. Appreciated you saying you will watch it again.

I wanted to comment on the song BTS were singing when Jin Graduated. Yes, I'm pretty sure it is the song you are talking about. When BTS were trainees and they were solidified the group that would debut, they started to upload covers of songs with their lyrics written over the tracks, to SoundCloud, and TH-cam. This was in 2011/12, and you can still watch the videos and stream the songs. I'll link you a couple. The Graduation Song, and three more. These were all units, a few members for each song. There are accurate lyrics on these videos. Bangtantv has these songs, but there are no subtitles.

Hola!!

There is almost unlimited content to watch of these guys. Since their small (at the time) company couldn't afford to promote them like other large companies could, they uploaded so much of their own content, even unedited. ARMY can help you explore any of the content you're interested in.
Some music will need context or explanation for cultural references, and to follow the story line that flows through some of their albums (labeled as BU or Bangtan Universe).
You can choose your path and just ask. 💜

Always excited to watch people see who these goofy talented guys are that use humour silliness and their love for each other to withstand the constant industry dirty tricks, death threats, hate campaigns and pressure of the most gruelling work load that has led to one of the largest and most diverse discographies of any group and in 3 different languages.

mental health is such a struggle for so many of us earthlings. i do not know you, but i felt proud, proud and humbled that you could be open about your struggles with bipolar disorder. it is not something i struggle with, but i am close to people who do, and my heart goes out to you.
my struggles are different, but also difficult. i am physically disabled and suffer from ptsd among a litany of mental and physical illnesses. everyday is difficult but like many in army, i find strength in bts' positive messages and uplifting songs.
i've only now stumbled on your channel through this video so some of my suggestions might be some things you have already reacted to, but here is my playlist for rough days:
    - not today ("if you can't run, walk / if you can't walk, crawl / if you can't crawl, gear up")
    - on ("even if my knees hit the ground / as long as they don't get buried / it won't matter")
    - idol ("keep on blabbing, saying this and that / i do what i do so you do you / you can't stop me loving myself")
    - answer: love myself ("even the scars from your mistakes / make up your constellation")
    - mikrokosmos ("one history in one person / one star in one person / seven billion different worlds / shining with seven billion lights")
    - we are bulletproof - the eternal ("even if the winter comes again / even if i'm blocked off, i will still walk / we are , together, bulletproof")
    - i'm fine ("all of the sadness and scars / became an old memory now / so let's smile, and let go")
there are many more but these were the ones that immediately came to mind. please do look after yourself and your loved ones. you are strong, you are amazing, you've got this.

You can pause and provide commentary. Armys appreciate that. It shows your paying attention and certain facts are interesting and appealing and maybe surprising. So don’t be afraid to pause and talk

I appreciate that I just like to soak as much as I can in then make my analysis at the end unless I find something really important to say, I feel most reaction channels consistent pause an talk. So I’m kinda taking the approach as if we’re all sitting in the same room watching together so everyone can enjoy without me interrupting. Occasionally I’ll stop an talk though
