    Two weeks ago I went for my first blackfish experience.,,
    Guy at the shop recommended crabs and told me I’ll need scissors to cut them in half and cut the legs to., also sagest hide the hook.,,
    Out of 15 crabs I had two 18” blackfishes, and I’ve broke line twice, losing my only two jigs.,
    Anyway it was fun.,,,
    Thanks for the video,, hopefully next time I’ll get more luck using your method

    I noticed that tog likes to take the whole Top so I stick the snafu hooks up through the shell they always leave you with just the legs and rib cage lungs by biting the top and all the eggs ..

      @FishingLongIsland  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s interesting and makes sense. So your coming from bottom up through top shell

      @@FishingLongIsland yes which also gives us the "suggested" cracked top that we experienced anglers like to do with the shell. This is how I hook on more especially if I don't have the rod in hand for hook set. Also I noticed that when rigging like this if you get 2 togs going after the same crab which is most the case when you use a huge crab this method either gets you that one more aggressive or Doubles! Because the 2 hooks separate into 2 baits. Also.. A pro tip.. I use a glow Bead ( 2 actually) on the snafu to "close" the kooks together. When I was testing in my bath tub with a live tog i brought home... lol... I noticed that when I bring the Beads down the shaft of the 2 hooks on the snafu rig, when the tog bites into the top shell the hooks don't separate apart. In fact they stay together and stay in the Tog's face so he does a more shorter attack to the line which is better to hook set. without the beads when the tog bites the shell in half, the hook lines float apart from the impact and full force of the togs attack which pound for pound is very strong. Their attack mimics another sea predator... The Shrimp.. and some species of lobsters.. These crustaceans in marine research have been measured to strike at a strength of 80-90 lbs strike force pressure. The Tog "strikes" with force at the bait "crab" to stun it so that it has it's way easily... That is also why it has those chompers... It strikes at coral and sea rock to dislodge mussels and clams and all these critters... So the beads also allow me to adjust how far or near the lines will split during the attack of the bait.... That's how I'm hitting from shore 22's and up at harsh Rock And Riffs .. I have a spot that has a rift but shore line casting and during the retrieve is Rock and boulders... we using 11 and 12 ft rods!.. I'll send you a pic or I'll do a video on my channel and tag you.... Tight Lines --- Fish On !!! OFD
