I’m trying to learn Polish, and it’s the hardest language I’ve ever tried learning. So far, I’ve been learning over 200 days, and it’s definitely a language that you slowly pick up and need perseverance.
Poland is a lovely country! I remember going on a trip to Krakow with my college and all of us madly googling how to say thank you in polish when we got to first bar we stopped in - hopefully we didn’t butcher it too much 😅 (also happy belated birthday Ben!)
the hardest part about our language are conjugations and grammar. we've got over 100 version of simple "jeść" - to eat, (eg. zjedzony, jem, jadłem, jedli, pojedli, zjedli, zjedzone, jemy and stuff like that), just so you know, even we do mistakes while speaking and ESPECIALLY writing because of our ortography: (rz sounds like ż, ć - ci, ś - si, ó - u [morze - sea, może - maybe, perhaps]) (zielony - green, źelony - complete gibberish, żółty - yellow, rzułty - pronounced the same, but again, complete gibberish) and I would never like to learn our language if I was a foreigner. I appreciate your effort and I hope for the best for you, but in case you're visiting, most of us speak English enough to get you thru, particularly in Warsaw, Cracow, Gdansk, Poznan and Wroclaw, perhaps not in the countrysides, but these are not the places you'd end up being a tourist at anyway :)
You did really great! It's a hard language, specially for english natives because it's harder (I mean pronuncation, fpr example "r"). I liked "środa" Plus people don't understand the difference between "ś" and "sz"
What would you say is the best platform to learn new languages? Really interested in learning French and Italian. - and not that I can tell, but you did a swell job friend 🤣
I'm half polish and I speak it fluently but even to me some of the words are truly ridiculous to pronounce and I fuck up quite a lot 😂 you definitely didn’t do bad for a beginner
I feel like it evolves *way* too quickly with new words popping up and existing words suddenly meaning something completely different so it can be hard to learn it when it’s actively changing

I'm from Hungary and the Friday is 'Péntek' in Hungarian, so close to the Polish version which is "Piątek".

no way is english hard, its one of the easiest. Arabic, Mandarin, Georgian, and several native american and african tribal languages are the hardest.
