Googled it , very great attempt but it doesn't cover mathematics, astronomy, classical physics, does cover metallurgy but only a part of it, doesn't cover other chemical technologies, medicine, alchemy, botany, logic, structural engineering, cartography,nautics, shipbuilding, automatons etc etc

Alok sir said just the truth... we hindus don't know our own history.. we were made to forget it... i feel so bad that i studied nothing in school in terms of history all i remember is nehru and Gandhi... that is not our history it's just a recent part... real history is our inventions and how great our ancestors were ... our ancient knowledge is so big and so great.... we need to be taught to become Hindu again...
Well, I must congratulate Dr.Alok on pursuing a revival of ancient India's works/ knowledge as well as Abhijit in providing the medium as well as his shared interest. Since it truly will clash against the western systems, I think it will take some time and some academics to provide a counter, but I don't think it will be challenged as you are merely sharing the truth.

Yes, speed of light is mentioned in Rig Veda with the shloka "Tatha cha smartya Yojananang sahasram dwe dwe shate dwe cha yojne, ekena nimisardhena krmamana namastute" means the sun god travels 2202(sahasram dwe dwe shata dwe) Yojnas in 1/2 a Nimisha(ekena nimisardhena). 1 Yojan=8.5 miles 1 nimisha= time taken for blinking eye one time= 0.2112s. Now calculate and you will find c=285186108m/s which is an error of only 4.8% with current value...

Dear Abhijit, seriously thank you for interviewing Dr Alok Kumar and presenting his book ANCIENT HINDU SCIENCE. I will buy it Dr Alok Kumar is quite clearly a very humble, hard working researcher of history. Without doubt, Dr Alok Kumar long ago fulfilled his parents wishes of making them proud....... doing something to make Bharat proud!
In true Hindu knowledge tradition, Dr. Kumar comes out as incredibly humble and genuine. Coincidentally, I had just ordered his book, so the timing of this talk couldn't be more appropriate! Hoping to get it in my hands soon! I think I first came across Dr. Kumar's reference in some talk by Rajiv Malhotra jī! He probably funded/advised Dr. Kumar in some capacity, in this endeavor of writing on ancient Hindu science. I agree that the history of science in India needs to be completely rewritten from the Indic point of view, highlighting _our_ incredible contributions to the many sciences. Works like Dr. Kumar's, MUST be translated in every major Indian language!

Dr Alok Kumar is quite clearly a very humble, hard working researcher of history.
Without doubt, Dr Alok Kumar long ago fulfilled his parents wishes of making them proud....... doing something to make Bharat proud!

In true Hindu knowledge tradition, Dr. Kumar comes out as incredibly humble and genuine. Coincidentally, I had just ordered his book, so the timing of this talk couldn't be more appropriate! Hoping to get it in my hands soon!
I think I first came across Dr. Kumar's reference in some talk by Rajiv Malhotra jī! He probably funded/advised Dr. Kumar in some capacity, in this endeavor of writing on ancient Hindu science.
I agree that the history of science in India needs to be completely rewritten from the Indic point of view, highlighting _our_ incredible contributions to the many sciences. Works like Dr. Kumar's, MUST be translated in every major Indian language!
