Venice was built to be like Venice Italy a center for art and music. We had many "characters" that were "cleared out" (beat em up let em die in the cells if they don't look right) was the Metro Squad motto who moved into my hometown in 72 after they changed their badge numbers. They caused the first Watts riots but got rewarded not punished after they were found guilty of raping and murdering black folks...
Here is what the Bible says about the American dream:
"Woe unto the Nation that charges its people for their own water; that joins house to house and field to field all the way to the end of the place. Shall no one else dwell in your land?"

Besides a drug addiction problem , there is a housing affordability crisis. Rent costs are almost imposible to be covered for people under the poverty limit. Making 14 dollars an hour 40 hours per week you make roughly 2000 dollars a month, how would you cover basic living expenses having to pay 1500 to 2000 dollars a month. The main reason Californians are living the state is because they cannot even afford to be over the poverty line.

Being Homeless is a choice for most people, most of these Homeless people refuse to improve their lives, refuse to clean up their act, and refuse to get a job and work for a living.
I get that there are many Homeless people who are mentally ill, disabled, and many who are severely addicted to drugs, and those are the ones i think we should help, by sending them to Hospitals and Rehab facilitates respectively.
But, the rest of the people are continuing to stay Homeless by choice, they aren't mentally ill, disabled, or addicted to drugs, they may have gotten homeless due to poor life choices, but it is still up to them to become responsible for their own well being.
California's Politicians need to either be voted out, or change their act, because for the last many decades, they have just allowed the Homeless population to grow to enormous numbers. And beautiful cities like LA and SF have turned into 3rd world shitholes.
All land that is not private is public land, we all pay taxes to have those lands maintained, and cleaned so we can all enjoy it together.
But, the Politicians are wasting our tax dollars by allowing Homeless people to set up camps and fill the sidewalks with their personal belongings, therefore making that land undesirable to look at, or walk on.
I get that Liberals get mad when someone talks about relocating the Homeless, but we need to take steps, because this is severe Government mismanagement, and our tax dollars are collectively being wasted.
California's residents really need to change the people they vote for, they have been voting in Democrats for the last 40 years non stop, and look how ridiculous and stupid California has become, it's a joke of a state.
High taxes on everything, cost of living in LA and SF are some of the highest in the nation, high Homeless population, high crime rates, and deteriorating infrastructure, with horrible traffics in both SF and LA.
I fail to understand why Liberals/Leftists/Democrats who live in California do not see that the Politicians they continue to vote for are useless and incompetent.

Easiest needs to satisfy? Both short & longterm goals? overseers of each stage and person/family? Alternate shelters? Aid community groups & individuals may provide and who to see so it is handled to the best & most beneficial to the success of project? What not to do if wanting to help? Do those affected have any requests or statements needing made? When will follow-up and progress updates occur? Individuals and entities contributing to project sucess publicaly salutd? Complaints, suggestions, questions to who? Legal advise and questions answered for anyone affected or involved in any aspect? And a bit of history about what the people did for shelter before locating at the boardwalk? What are talents, skills, experiences, and goals/dreams of a better future?
News people have obviously forgotten the key parts to any investigation or reporting. Who What When Where Why and my personal additions to the mix, What else? and Paul Harvey's "The Rest of the Story" and finally, other versions/perspectives of the story. Or at least give a link or phone number directing anyone with concerns where to turn.
Seems to me if anyone had a genuine plan the City would have prepared it in writing and available to all prior to sending in the crews to make homelessness invisible again.
