Thank you, GM Bobby and many other Balintawak GM's say, "you the get system and curriculum, but the hands you play and learn from vary from person to person." Everybody has their own way of cooking spaghetti :)
FMA pulse thanks for the vlogs. Having Bobby Taboada with his charm, humor, dignified presence,over-all grip of his material plus simplicity and explosiveness is an assurance of quality. Villasin testing sparring is good but his solo instruction leaves a lot to be desired...sooooo fancy and cluttered. All the rest are good ambassadors of fma. Salamat po
Jessie just loved this one. Gm Bobby is so inspiring to see & meet he is a true warrior the camps , seminars if you can get to see gm Bobby he will change your life. I am so grateful for this channel as well as my Balintawak family and friends.
Thanks Nelson, glad you enjoyed this video. We had a few FCS guys at the seminar also. I'm glad Tuhon Ray and GM Bobby are good friends allowing their students to cross train and learn from each other.
So far every Guro and Grandmaster we met has a great sense of humor. Gotta balance out the humor and the seriousness. Find ways to lighten the mood if you enjoy what you do.
Thank you, it was a great time. Learned a lot from my previous test. I was so tense and I got tired easily because I didn't pace myself. Then my arm locked up during the test because I was swinging for the fences and I always had a death grip on my baton.
@@N0rthGym Not a problem, the biggest thing too is performing/testing in front of a big group of people which included GM Bobby and his FQI students. Gotta control your nerves also.
Super video JS. What level did you graduate in? May i also recommend a tactical lash that fix into any glasses and keep them sticky to your head? Just pop into amazon and search for a sport glasses elastic. There's like a plain black which gets the job done fantasticly bro. Salamat po
Thanks brother, I tested for level 7 FQI, fully qualified instructor. I was thinking about getting one of those attachments for my glasses. That or I could start wearing my contacts again.
@@CovertExpertiseArtiMarziali Thank you, thank you. It was a long journey, and a lot of driving/traveling to train and teach to get me to this point. Seeing a chiropractor now for my back LOL. Level 5 should be a breeze, don't get psyched out though.
Do you have info on where/how to train in-person on the West coast in his Balintawak style? I have all the videos but for pair work/sumbrada it's better in person...
Good question. In California he has two representatives in Southern California: 1. Guro Bryan Sloyer 2. Guro Rick Mitchell You can find them on Facebook.
Thanks sir 🙏
You're welcome, thank you for your continued support of this channel. Hope all is well.
I really enjoy that video the test from so many different angles of the style of martial arts Bobby always magnificent

Just doing our part in promoting everyone.
Awesome job! Congratulations!
Thank you, GM Taboada now says that it's my responsibility to keep it going.
That event looks like a lot of fun. It’s cool GM Taboada has other instructors come in and demo their styles.
It's always fun attending the annual Balintawak world camp GM Taboada. Great catching up with people and enjoying the company of others.
Great job on your test and your video!
Thanks brotha. It was a long fun journey. The training and learning never stops though.

@@FMAPulse thank you for sharing your experience ... i'm sure it will be useful for some of us who will be taking the test someday 👍🏻

GM Taboada is like the final boss. This is so inspiring! :)
That's analogy Jessie uses too. It's like a video game, gotta go through all of the bosses before final boss at the end.
Great video. Congratulations on the testing. 👍
Thank you, I couldn't have made it without my fellow Balintawak teammates/friends in Ohio and Chicago coaching me.
Sending support sau idol
Will do, will forward this to GM Taboada.
Congratulations! It looked fun. It was nice to at least see part of the event that I missed. Hopefully I can make it next year!
Thank you, most definitely. The only thing that I didn't get to document, was the food and lechon during dinner.
@@FMAPulse That's probably a good thing. It would make me drool. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
@@D--man Next year, I'm gonna get footage of that roasted pig LOL!
Congratulations, that looked quite challenging. Great job!
It was! Thank you. It definitely a test of endurance while maintaining control. You also have to fight your instincts while keeping the play going.
Dang Jessie…I didn’t know you were going for your Guro level. Video producer and martial artist, you’re so talented. Congratulations.
It's my two passion in life at the moment. FMA Pulse is the platform where I can bridge the two together.
