I think Francis Tiafoe will rise and become a great tennis player and win championships someday soon . I I have been following his tennis games this past six years . Best wishes to him and his family. Aloha from Hawaii !!!!! Robert S.J. Hu September 9, 2021.
It's 2021 and Frances has gone a long way. Just this week, he beat Tsitsipas for the second time this year and Frances is one of the nicest and I mean nicest person on the tour, on and off the courts. Bravo to this young man. I hope he will achieve his dreams of winning a grand slam some day.
While he was talking about where he slept, it looked like he wanted to cry at some point. It must have been really hard growing up. I wish him and his family lots and lots of success. Keep believing in yourself!
...just watched him play against Croatia at Davis Cup semifinals in Zadar, a terrific player with great future.....he narrowly lost by the 18th ranked and gave a lot of trouble to the 6th seeded Cilic. Impressive.
Frances Tiafoe Jr. was born in Maryland on January 20, 1998. The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has ranked Tiafoe as high as no. 24 in singles, on August 8, 2022. He is the son of Sierra Leonean immigrants. No American man has won a Slam singles title since Andy Roddick won the 2003 U.S. Open. Tiafoe is carrying the flag here, an American dream in tennis shoes.
TIAFOE TIAFOE TIAFOE! I want to go to the US open for rounds 1-4... not sure I can manage being away from my elderly dog that long... but I will be watching every match... may have to fly out to see him one round. So excited for this guy on hard court.
An amazing ambition , desire to overcome the barriers and a v unique family. All respect for the entire family ,that shows how the hard work, pays off. Francis ,your love for tennis and lack of any tools that other rich kids have from day 1, made you better than anyone of them !!! Initially no coach, just watching other kids getting private lessons, going to practice against the wall(most American kids , and even pro's don't enforce that..) and lucky that a smart and awesome person/ coach sees the potential and desire of this phenomenal kid!!! Great job, Francis !!! Good luck !!!
Lots of tennis players had it tough when they were young, but most don't want to keep playing the victim card. Eight years on, and I'll bet Francis is sick of still being asked the same questions and reading the same articles about his struggles as a kid. That kind of thing actually holds you back psychologically
Congrats to this talented young man! Oh i know he will have haters....because he doesn't "look"like the tennis world would want him to typically look like. You know exactly what i mean.
Be Quiet stop trying to be racist and push people to believe tennis judges us because of our skin because it doesn’t I’m black and play tennis with multiple black white hispanic Indian Japanese Chinese Korean... players so stfu
This comment right here man…see it more and more on social media, just negative comments about big foe. Doesnt look or act like the rest but thats ok! Hes himself and comfortable in his own skin, he’d inspire a generation (he already is!)
The news is out. Frances defeated Nadal at the 2022 US Open and is now closer to fulfilling his goal. A soon-to-be tennis' grand slam champion. What an inspiring story! #resilience
It's just glad to watch someone like him improve a lot better. I think he's like, 19 or 20 rn? Whichever. But it's all good. Definitely a great player to watch this year as he is back at Roland Garros and the French Open playing again.
People shouldn’t diminish the kid's achievements with comments that he is only getting attention because he is black in a predominately white man’s sport. That’s what the black players and black fans did to future NBA Hall of Fame Larry Bird early on and it was so unfair and racially biased. You can be better than them ....support the kid.
I am sure i played and lost to tiafoe 2015 in delray beach pre qualifier. In my opinion almost perfect , however i was up 3, 1 first set and began cramping of course i am 38 not in shape. hope he makes it big top ten, i think he will.
Insane how he just beat Nadal! Very inspiring
To be fair - Nadal played really not his best tennis.
Frances is in his prime & Nadal is just about retiring
Who's here after his Australian open performance?
This is terrific. Hope he can resurrect men's tennis for these Americans.
@@goraiders2266 yep
Frances made an atp 500 final today! The Viennese adore him, chanting "LET'S GO, FRANCES!" on big points.

he doesn't look or play like a kid anymore. i missed this 7 years ago.
While he was talking about where he slept, it looked like he wanted to cry at some point. It must have been really hard growing up. I wish him and his family lots and lots of success. Keep believing in yourself!

LOVE THIS STORY. IT PROVES THAT OUR DESTINATION CAN REACH ANY HEIGHT WITH A BIT OF GOOD LUCK AND A LOT OF DETERMINATION!
He hits the ball so hard you can hear his racket rattle as it comes into contact with it. Well done Frances.

-1
Now he’s in the semifinals of the US open.
They made his father working 16 hour days??!?
forehand looks like it would break down under pressure but 89 in the ATP rankings at 19 is commendable.
Is his wrist going to be okay hitting the forehand like that? That's my worry.
Into the Semi-Finals at the 2022 US Open
1:20 First time seeing a racquet smash upon winning 🤣
Future n 1 of the world. Thats a fact.
he failed
He hasn't failed but it will be tough to get to top 10, never mind number 1.
Fact gone wrong

My guess is your not native American so your not one to talk about legal immigrants
Raiden3 Good thing I don't need to guess. I am a legal immigrant and son of a legal immigrant.
WHITE PEOPLE WHO TOOK THIS LAND WHERE ILLEGAL AND

Horrible forehand and backhand.
