Wow! I'm impressed you have time to use a comb in the ring. Can you show us a mock-ring and explain how/when you do that? Or maybe someone can record you in the ring?
If I’m the only one in the class, there’s not time to use one but as long as there are other dogs, you have some “free-time” waiting while the other dog is doing their individual and that’s when I use the comb if need be.
This is most likely from how you are drying him. If you air dry, he will definitely get curls or whispies that won’t brush flat. I have a video on how to dry that might help
That would be a fast video! Haha for UKC, I do the same thing but skip the products. Brush out, wet down & blow out like this video shows but that’s all we can do.
I’ve never tried black enhancer but the white one does make a difference if your dog needs it. I would not use on all dogs because it can be overdone and look obvious so only use if truly needed.
Say you have a show weekend where there are two or even three shows, one a day. Do you wash everything and bathe completely after each show? Or is it more of a rinsing of the legs and misting the body?
Depends on the dog! If your dog has a full coat and can maintain a fresh look over the weekend, just rinsing legs and misting body will be all you need to do! But if your dog needs more coat or the coat looks flat, a full bath everyday would be best.
When selecting a puppy, do you have any advice on what to look out for? Whether it’s their ear length or body length? I am getting an Aussie but I want to select a puppy that will grow up to be really good looking.
You’ll need to familiarize yourself with the AKC and/or ASCA written standard and we look for a puppy that bets fit that. The breeder should send you stacked photos where you can evaluate their angles although putting hands on the puppy is better. This can’t be done before 7 weeks of age. Also temperament and health history is very important. The breeder should provide health testing on parents (OFA, eyes, and full genetic panels) and do temperament testing before being sold.
No because the Judge puts their hands on the dog during the exam so nothing can be truly hidden. The goal in grooming is to make the dog look its best.
Thank you for great video again! 😍
You’re very welcome!!

Oh my dog. I love this little pooch 😍😍
My Aussie on my profile pic he has some parts of his fur where it’s just sticking out I brush and brush him but it still doesn’t flatten any tips?

Can you do a similar product-free video for us UKC folks who aren't allowed to do products at all?
That would be a fast video! Haha for UKC, I do the same thing but skip the products. Brush out, wet down & blow out like this video shows but that’s all we can do.
Where did you get that table?
Tableworks

@@sandollaraussies Okay thank you. I come from the competitive livestock world so there are some similarities but that one I wasn't sure about.

So well behaved! This is very helpful thank you, i'm just getting into showing and breeding :)
Isn't it kind of cheating to shape their hair to disguise/enhance their structure?

Can’t possibly be good for their skin
Never had a skin issue
