The Wonderful Underground Mapping | Control Random x Maison Sagan | HeavyM

The stone mine mapping is a project to explore the interactions between sound and image and to question the place of the spectator. A real-time audiovisual performance during which music and image are created live.
Control Random, Maison Sagan and Marin Scart were moved by the idea of a realization that could not be repeated exactly twice. Their collective wish was to create a multidisciplinary project that went beyond the experience and expertise of each artist.
In this 5-part journey, visuals are linked to the sound using audio and CV information, driving generative patches in TouchDesigner.

The First part was a fail, the middle part,where you can see the cave and the blue water was good, the last part got weak, the first part was even hard to tell if you were in a cave..music was good,for the venue.

Ici, le mapping fournit "juste" un cadre de projection autour des artistes. L'originalité se trouve dans la génération des effets projetés. Les visuels sont générés en temps réel par les notes de musique, ce qui laisse place à l'improvisation et la performance live :) Enfin, oui les visuels sont dans un style propre aux artistes, qui ne sont peut-être pas vos gouts personnels.
