yes you can do that. but in this video i gave example of opposite. means, getting output from resolume as NDI feed in MM, then do the advanced mapping thing there. yet, in opposite case, you can use flashy particle generators from MM and get them to resolume. for this case, resolume has already great bank of generators. but ya, you can do it.
you can use MI bar with any software that uses DMX/ArtNet. but if you want to have creative visual control over them, here are few: 1. madrix 2. resolume 3. madmapper 4. disguise
The answer changes based on your perspective. Resolume is not a realtime performance app, its also a mapping, video editing and presentation app for me. Its like realtime after effects. So I prefer resolume.
