...each time we sing this song we gave our soul, it is like when a small cloud that suddenly create a tornado and then at the end ... it is so difficult to do the pianisimo and keep the right long for each note even breath... this song is my favorite of all songs and this choral is in my heart ... it has been just 20 years since I sang with them and today looks like was yesterday... Siempre lo he dicho y lo repetiré hasta el cansancio, esta es la pieza más hermosa, más emocionante, de una belleza inefable. Este es el mejor coro que he oido en mi vida, esta es su mejor época y Ruben Rivas es el mejor director que he conocido.

La obra la conocí en 1973 de manos del director franco norteamericano Roger Wagner, con quien la estudiamos en sus pormenores. Por fortuna, no existe una forma única de interpretar esta bella obra y en ello radica la riqueza de la música, es decir, sería terriblemente aburrido que todos los directores la interpretaran de una misma forma. Esta es simplemente mis visión de la obra. A mis muchachos del Coro UNET un abrazote grande!!!
Actually, I think this tempo (plus the slow acoustics) make some of the piece sound really great. I did this, oh god, about 15 years ago in my high school choir and we almost fetishised the slowness, to a piece well closing in on seven minutes, and it was an awful lot of fun, too. We all got great lungs by the end of that.

I like the conviction and the massiveness this choir sings with.
But I can imagine that at live concert real pianississimo could have more effect
