I had the rare chance a few times to pick up great niece from her preschool near my home. We’ve homemade several things, her absolute fav was the pumpkin pie! I’m 68 she is five now and n Kindergarten further away. But she still reminds me of the two pumpkin pies we made together.

Karli’s hair has gotten so long!! She is the sweetest. I know when you retire you’ll be so excited to be able to spend more time with them. Nothing like our grands! I think the pan needs to be oiled really well after it’s been used. Sometimes it takes a little while to get seasoned really well. I oil all my cast irons after use before I store them. Then oil them again before using.

Karly doing the mmm mmm good dance is so cute. My youngest son is 11 and he dances when he enjoys his food too. Sometimes my smaller cast iron and the molds have better luck letting the pan cool and then it releases easier. I don’t have anything as small as your corn 🌽 pan but I have a muffin/ mini cake pan and thats been the trick to getting the to release.

Tina ,I grew up on a little farm in Wva ,and I can remember my grandma saying that the comb on the chickens head will be bright red if they are laying ,when it gets dull looking they don’t lay ,pretty sure it’s true though .When I was young I always gathered the eggs . I had all my chickens named . When I was 11 or 12 ,I had to milk our cow before I went to school
I think she favors Karley since she was the first Grandchild. Koda has a very strong connection with GiGi and PawPaw. Plus, Koda Bear speaks more clearly. I think these two girls get lots of love. ❤❤
Gigi and pop watched both girls before karly started school. When karly is sick they usually ask tina to watch her so G and Pops don't get sick. They both have awesome bonds with all their grandparents ❤. I have four granddaughters. Of course the first and last are special but all loved the same🥰

The last time you used it did you wash it with soap? If you did that's why it is sticking. NO SOAP should ever touch that pan after you season it. Get a scrub cloth meant only for your cast iron that you never ever put soap on. Google how to clean and season a cast Iron pan. You shouldn't need to deep clean a cast iron pan unless there is to much build up on it. A good scrubber and hot water should be enough to clean off any stuck on food but keep the seasoning on the pan. A well seasoned cast iron pan should work like a non stick pan. In the old days cooks would simply wipe out the pan right after cooking on it to keep the seasoning only using cold water when stubborn food got stuck on after the pan cooled. They may have given the pan a deep scrub once every 6 month to a year. the heat from cooking and immediate wiping out of the pan keeps bacteria away. ALWAYS make sure your pan is good and dry before seasoning it best way to do that is after giving a good scrub place the pan on top of the stove on low until it is completely dry then let cool oil it and back it to season it. If I remember right it is like a 250* oven for like a hour or so but like I said google how to season a pan it';s been a long time since I have had a good cast iron pan. This easy cleaning is why pioneers liked cast iron pans on the trail because they are sturdy and easy to clean even if you have no access to water. NEVER EVER put cold water in a hot pan it will warp and crack the pan.
Karly is still a cut-up! She loves helping you! I have one of those cornbread things & it sticks too - I use Pam on it & warm it too (like the pans) & try not to clean it too much with soap & water … also don’t overfill …. All that helps!
Lou has the same pan from Pawpaw too. Hers didn’t stick (she didn’t show them coming out of the pan) hers looked like pieces of corn. I’ve never had corn bread . Maybe taking them out too soon?

You have to really grease the corn stick pans. Try not to overfill the molds. I dump mine immediately from oven to dumped.

Try a yellow cake mix in muffin skillet and ice with icing. They look like corn cake and its good. Lightly spray Skillet...so they won't stick

Grease the pan before you put it in the oven to get it hot. Looks great anyway.
Grease well with Crisco, or don’t preheat pan and spray with Baker’s Joy.
You might to grease the pan before pouring the cornbread in to bake, its easier to take it out.
